Yesterday I picked all of the pumpkins. I’m surprised that we have so many. They seemed to like growing in the weeds. No big ones. I picked all the green peppers, thinking they might be edible. Mr WD tried one of the biggest ones and he said it was bitter. So those were a bust this year. I’m going to try and get pics of some today. Some have funky growths. I also hope to hunt for paw paws today.

Good morning, Pepperj. What’s the plan for today?
Right now trying to figure an account bill on line. :BangHead:

I stopped doing TH in 2007, just couldn't take the crap any longer.
I had tried the dark roast on a long drive back from New Brunswick as I needed a fix. It was just bad, so I poured it out the window and kept driving. (Cup stayed in)
No it's only a coffee from a coffee house or nothing.
Wife got us Latte at The Muse Gallery & Cafe in Bancroft-then one at the farm, as they have a machine for making up coffees.

Mornin all!

Spotted a Timmy's the other day.
There is another about fifteen miles away near the highway...

Last fishing trip to Canada we took my newish truck.
A friend drove most the time.
We stopped at a Timmy's the morning we crossed into Canada (of course) and my friend grabbed a brownie with whatever else.
When I opened the drivers door later there was a dark brown streak on my newish seat.
I called my friend over and suggested he go wipe himself ,then clean my seat....:laughing7:

During a poker game/fight at camp , I had dropped out when the stakes were getting too high for my lousy playing.
Not really paying attention to the continuing game beyond hearing stakes climb between two people (and one who should have known better than to keep it up) I heard a dispute arise.
A/the old timer had put some Canadian Tire coupons he'd received (with his change at Canadian Tire) in the pot , thinking they were a kind of Canadian currency....:icon_scratch::laughing7:

Morning Pepper ... Bill... RC.

RC,

Well I do make a point of doing my daily walks and yard and garden work so it helps to enjoy the great outdoors. Good for the spirits especially with all this social distancing stuff going on.

So guess how I spent my Birthday? Freezing my butt off in a treestand, and for nothing. At least I wasn't alone in my suffering. Me and a friend were only hunting in baselayers, and then the temps dropped to the forties. By the time we got back to the house, we had low grade hypothermia.

And then today, the same friend found a massive hornets nest hanging from a tree. He took shots at it with a .223, and missed. I threw rocks at it, and missed. My other friend/employer, threw a rock at it, and split it open, and we ran like hell out of there. Well about two hours later, we have more rocks, and we're throwing it at a nest of angry bald faced hornets. I was smart, and got out of range, but my buddy wasn't so lucky. He connected with the nest again, and got stung in his right eyes tear duct, fell down, and rolled all the way down a hill, and got attacked again at the bottom.

Needless to say, we deserved it. :laughing7:

Oh I know that aggravation at least tenfold. One of the many headaches of a bookkeeper nowadays.

Already walking on the wild side

Or flirting with disaster.

WD,

Serves him right going around half neked and attacking wasp nests in the cold weather....he turns 18 and looses all his common sense. What's the world coming to....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

I have come across four paper wasp nests, all small and nobody around. It's like they started them and then left-not sure what happened.

Jim,

We had a serious wasp problem where they managed to get into the air vents for the attic....not a good thing. Well we had a professional service take care of them. We were told that the wasp nests we see outside are only used for one season then abandoned unlike beehives.

We had one under the deck 8 inches and i sprayed that one.
But all the others were a peach size or smaller.
When we selling the house on the island I had a nest in the HVAC system. Had the bee guy take the intake pipe apart and filled a few grocery bags.
Crazy big nest, I think I used 4 large cans of wasp spray, and it didn't work.

How about this one?

Yep! One of my favorites. I posted it on my music thread. My cousin and I were singing that on the front porch one day. We were like 10 years old. My mom came running through the house and burst open the front door. “What the blankety blank blank is going on out here?” Scared the crap out of us, too. I told her we were just singing and she told us it sounded like someone was in real pain. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]
LOL my singing hasn’t improved much.

Morning folks, time to pour :coffee2:
