Morning pepperj and WD

Good morning WD, Jim & Rook!

So... thinking of letting some things go that I have either no need for... too much of... in my way... or whatever.

Got stacks or old MD / treasure magazines dating back to I think 70's.... I did sell a ton of them many years ago but I kept like 100 of the best /favs... but I do not look at them anymore due to I know them front to back etc... they just sit.

Books.. oh man... I have Rubbermaid rough totes full... not to mention shelves of excess... doubles etc etc.

Nautical Charts... arrrrrrggg I sold over 100 again some years back... don't know how may I still own now... well over that... 99% Florida... would have to go through them.. I know I have lots of Bahamas etc... all dating back.

Maps... :)... I have em back to 1591 of Florida.. and have a few old of other places. these are pride and joy's and would take some real offers to part.

Other stuff... sheesh don't get me started.

Nautical stuff in general... everything from bamboo poles and wood lures to god knows what.... most of which I never see and is packed away due to NO SPACE to display.

Space is limited anymore... just time to part with some things I have had for eons... and I think many would enjoy and can display / collect in a better way.

Just thought I would throw this out there and see whats what.

Coming from a collecting back ground it's a fact that today's world is a whole lot different than what it was decades ago as far as collecting.
Folks might have one or two things of one subject matter but gone are the days of many same theme items it seems.
One suggestion is keep the best get rid of the rest and carry on.
Have had a lot of hads over my life-now I have somethings not a lot, and most is stored away. When time allows I will get to the root/boot of sorting out-but for now there's just no time.

Good morning Dave
How did your interviews for diaper/cart returner go yesterday?

Morning WD ... Pepper... Rook.. Anti.

arrrrg... Beeen staying up later and getting up later...

been trying to see if I can trick my body into "seamless" time change. :P~

Once a collector, always a collector Jim. :laughing7:
I also feel this definition pretty well covers most of us who metal detect or creek-walk.

"A collector is any person not having a fixed place of business who goes from house to house or from place to place gathering, collecting, buying, selling or otherwise dealing in any old relics, antiques, bottles, furniture, papers, metal or other articles commonly known as "relics". - Unknown

Definitely not enough hours in a day. :)

It must be getting here for the new furry arrival date, or is a ways off yet?

Morning Jim, thanks very much for asking... I think I look good in blue!? :laughing7:

On a more serious note, I have a phone interview at 1:30pm today with Yale Industrial Trucks... https://www.yaleforklifts.com/

Funny you should mention this Jim, because we received a call from the breeder yesterday.
We have an appointment on Saturday at 1pm to go and pick out our new puppy, we should be able to bring her home at the end of October. :hello2:

I'm off to detect the field I was at on Sunday, hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

I'm my own worse enemy when it comes to things Dave. I think like I'm still young/walk like a centurion and that will be my demise at one point.
2020 is falling fast and the job list is high.
Just need folks that want to work instead of sitting on the duff collecting the free.
Oh we're going to be in a state of hurt when the bill has to be paid-there's too many zero's on the big tab and the second wave has begun.

I gave up on getting someone to stain the board and battens for the shop. So I started it finally myself after asking at least 10 different folks if they or anyone they knew-got only "think about it" replies.
I was offering up cash-so I started running a mental tab on me earnings and it's averaging $27.50 an hour cash-now I realize why nobody wants to do this work.
It's better sitting at home doing zippo-enjoying the telly-eating/drinking/smoking than working.
By the looks of fishing boats and campers on the highway-there's a lot of happy campers out there.

Morning Dave and AARC
