It's 7:05 am-Where's the finds?
Holding out are we?
Lost your phone?
Don't care?
Too busy digging?

It's 7:06 am
Where are you-stuck in the drive through still getting the morning :coffee2:

I give up-can't sit around all day waiting for a pic. :laughing7:

Man!!! Now is when the star trek transporter would come in sooooo handy!! :tongue3:

"Okay.......uhhhh...Scotty! VERY funny!!! Now.....BEAM DOWN MY CLOTHES!!!! "

Hello Rook, it's going every which way and all around. If anyone takes a nap, it should be me! :laughing7:

Now see WHADIFIND, that's what happens. transporter leaves your clothes behind and cell phone is in the pocket.

Has anyone spotted any change in parking lots or on side walls lately? Just wondering because it seems to be an economy indicator.
More people pick up dropped change when times are bad.
Enjoy it while we can. A Wal-Mart clerk said in 2 years they will be all self check out, and in 4 years we'll be using plastic or phones only.

Yep, true nuff.

Ya know, they actually did that ploy in one scene on ST-TNG. Counselor Troi and her mother were transported right out of their clothes! :)

No hidden weapons there, unless you count sharp wit. :laughing7:

Nice walk you had. Adding to Blingie's friends group I see. Did you get any more detail on turtle markings?

Not much help but the top line looks like Cueri. :dontknow:

Leave you with a bit of a lighter clip...maybe a smile...

Goodnight folks. :sleepy2:

Good morning everyone!

Morning Jim. :hello:

Go get the goods dave....im right behind ya !! Finally going to get in the water at my new permission after 2 years of trying. The stars have aligned and conditions are good. Mark and I will hit it hard as soon as the sun is high enough. We will be looking for silver and gold treasure coins, and possible other personal treasures lost by the survivors of the "el rubi Segundo" the capitana of the 1733 fleet. 3 groups of 60-70 survivors came ashore here on rafts made from the wreckage !! The last storm has cleared all debri from the bottom.....there is absolutely no holding ground for the anchor. The bottom is flat and hard as pavement here.....there is a small possibility that coins could be eyeballed and collected without a metal detector with the current conditions. Mark tried to go yesterday but was unable to anchor because of the flat bottom here. Two of us are needed here....one in the boat and one diving.
Great gin bottle find yesterday Bart, all I managed were a couple of pennies from the 1930s — 40s and a small silver ring. :laughing7:

Bart & Dave good luck to both of you on your detecting adventures.
Thanks very much Bill.

Well Jim, I got to the site at 7am and the first penny find came at 7:15am.
I didn’t think it was worth sending you a pic though. :laughing7:

Good morning crew mates!
A treasure hunting goes the crew! Yea!!!
Best of luck Anti I hope lots of silver & gold pops up for you.
Thanks MsBB, but I’m more optimistic about tomorrow’s hunt.
The soybeans are now being cut here and one of my old sites has just been cleared, care to guess where I’ll be tomorrow morning at 7am? :tongue3:

I'll be right up!!
Anytime my friend… I’ve got many sites and not near enough time! :icon_thumleft:

I needed a rear tiller and have tried to purchase a great old one from a widow, but it's hard for her to depart of the memories yet. (5yrs)

So our friends lent us one and I asked when the last maintenance was done on the tiller?
Simple matter of fact reply "Probably never Jim"
"It's already got a broken tine"-turns out to be 3 broken tines.

So I thought why not do a little TLC on the old tiller......
Gear lube was a grease consistency on the one end-main gear box it was 10%.
So as a good will/thank you I replaced 2 of the tines (back order on the other) new grease nipple............took the old one off and poked a piece of copper wire into a solid mass.
I knew this wasn't what i wanted to see-ah lets just pop over to buddy's repair shop and get a hand at ripping this apart.
Pictures are:
The solid pieces are impacted grease.
The hub shows where I poked a hole through with the wire.
The hashed bearing.

So another trip to the tractor supply to buy a sealed bearing this time-no need to grease any longer-not that it ever has been in the last 15yrs.
Tines @ $12.95ea.
Grease nipple @ 1.50
Bearing @ $9.95
Labour for putting in bearing @ $15.00
Grease/oil/gas/mileage/time-the cost of getting it right again.

Returning the tiller this morning to the farm-and having a meet up/breakfast with them. I just hope they've milked the chickens before we arrive so the chores have been done.
