Oh my gosh, people! This Heroes event is starting off awesome! There are 15 veterans, 13 of them are first time event participants . There are Heroes from Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio. I went out to eat with them . I’m the only female. Queen of the ball. LOL They were so easy to talk to. A couple of them have already opened up. This one guy at our table just about had me in tears telling us about his service. He went in right after Vietnam. I think everyone else is a Vietnam vet. It’s a bummer that they are not going to be able to fish on the lake. They’re fishing in the bay instead. Probably won’t catch very many walleye. We will see tomorrow. One guy told me,”That’s okay. This has already exceeded my expectations. This is great!”
I’m tired. Y’all have a good night.
Best of luck to you in your fishing tournie this weekend WD. :hello2:

Good morning ARC & Jim.

I was given a tip by a new detecting friend that a ball diamond in a town nearby me has been graded and is producing silver coins and rings.
Apparently, There's been some excavation work being done here and the workers have spread out the excavated soil.

A neighbour also told him that, "the ball diamond was plowed up this year."
He also told him, "there's also an annual car show with a few hundred cars set up here each year and they draw a few thousand visitors."

This site is located about 30mins east of me so I'll be signing off shortly.

Morning Rook.

Anyway I'm off, hope everyone has a great Friday! :occasion14:

:hello: good morning my t-net friends.

Morning Bart.

Congrats Dave on the finds yesterday.

Go get the goods dave....im right behind ya !! Finally going to get in the water at my new permission after 2 years of trying. The stars have aligned and conditions are good. Mark and I will hit it hard as soon as the sun is high enough. We will be looking for silver and gold treasure coins, and possible other personal treasures lost by the survivors of the "el rubi Segundo" the capitana of the 1733 fleet. 3 groups of 60-70 survivors came ashore here on rafts made from the wreckage !! The last storm has cleared all debri from the bottom.....there is absolutely no holding ground for the anchor. The bottom is flat and hard as pavement here.....there is a small possibility that coins could be eyeballed and collected without a metal detector with the current conditions. Mark tried to go yesterday but was unable to anchor because of the flat bottom here. Two of us are needed here....one in the boat and one diving.

Bart & Dave good luck to both of you on your detecting adventures.

Good morning Bart
Best of luck on the new permission hunt today.
Get a few pieces of eye candy for the rest of us to drool over.
