Morning Bill and Bart.

Good morning, pirates an piratesses!

I’ve got to bake cookies for the Heroes this morning. So that smoke in the air may get thicker. LOL
Have a great day!

Sounds good Jim, I wonder when the cover crop on the Train Station site will be cut, soon I would think? :icon_scratch:
It must've been 4 - 5 years since we hit that site, more finds must've come to the surface by now.

FYI, I'm still available for an early morning meeting somewhere if you're up to it.

I'm thinking I might head to that site west of Kingston on Sunday morning.

Sadly I wouldn't be able to do a meet up Dave-got to empty the barn of the left over building material-find room in the shop.
Have to build a brooder cage for the new 20 day olds coming in on the 23rd.
Got to get the pine tar/linseed on the rest of the board and batten siding for the shop.
Just going to finish the last 6 centre rows of tilling this morning and the perimeter tilling of the berry patch this morning-I managed to get 7 done last night after the 8hrs of doing the rock retaining wall under the screen porch end.
Wore myself out yesterday-the levelling of any rock that weighs 300-800 lbs is not the easiest task.
The excavator operator looked at me at 5pm and I agreed we both were done. But we got 3 tiers of retaining wall in and when he returns again we'll redo a stone or 2 on the top row-not happy with the final look.
He was going to leave the excavator for me to do some prep work and placement-until he got a last minute call from the dairy farm down the way needing his help this morning.
Oh well-I will have to wait another day to play.....
Best of luck if you go to the MH site-I want to do the site across from the power station along the old highway route-It gave up some nice silvers and coppers in the past. Both sites are pretty close to each other.
Latte fall/spring when the grasses die off is the best choice for the one site.

Crazy carrots this year.
The Mrs wanted a few, ok I'll have a look.:dontknow:

There's one thing that i have no luck at growing and that's carrots. Put seed in and during the time of germination we get a rain bomb-I probably seeded the St Lawrence by now.:laughing7:
This year it was a tad different, I got some rabbit sticks this year.

No but my son in LA( lower Alabama) had a lot of damage, power out, fence down, all kinds of stuff. We just had a fine mist and some mild wind plus cooler. 66 this morning at 5.

Good morning, mateys! Gonna be an awfully windy weekend for taking the Heroes fishing! Glad I am land locked!

Morning WD, Hope your carrots are not in with stinging nettles. They were like two peas in a pod this year.

Good morning, Pepperj. I never knew what a stinging nettle was until last year. Son of a gun!

Yes many a folk seem to never forget either once they have meet up.

Back in the late 70's a group of us were out picking mushrooms. The girlfriend had to go wizz and headed off around the corner of the field.
She came back hotter than a skillet :BangHead:-well even after my friend explained what nettles were-she goes and squats in a patch. :dontknow:
Now it was really hard to keep a straight face-she had no sense of ha,ha that afternoon.:laughing7:
