Timing is everything...in this game....go to early and access can be an issue....wait a day to long and its sanded back in. Well I chopped up some cucumbers, etc....to make a relish. First step cover the ingredient with water and a good whack of salt and allow to set over night to draw off the moisture.

Tomorrow drain and rinse and process for pickling.

Got an offer on my banner pillar dollar !! I spent so many years looking for that coin that it makes it hard to sell. I also think I could get more in the long run. It is a good offer and I could buy 2 new sawmills for what hes offering !! I would hate to go in the shop and see it in the treasure case for twice what I got !! I still haven't made up my mind !! I think there will always be someone who wants that piece. It truly is a tier 1 collectors piece.

I can also appreciate that you've only recently found this piece, so you might want to covet it a while longer. But if it was me and I could use the cash, I'd sell my Mother to buy a new detector!

I guess as detectorists we work so dang hard for our finds it's hard to give them up. The missus gets all the ladies gold jewelry. I've only sold a few men's gold rings, I've given away a fair amount of silver jewelry because the melt value for the most part is a joke.

I've still got a whack of men's jewelry funny thing is I don't even wear jewelry but just have a hard time parting with it....must be the packrat in me.....
