Oddrock's suggestion of the book, America B.C. is a very good tip. Mr. Fell included an EXTENSIVE bibliography that should more than fill your research needs for your thesis, etc. Plus, reading ALL of Rangler's postings on this forum will be like icing.
I've GOT to ask this..............do you really think rangler or anyone else would give you their research in this area? Please don't take this wrong, but information like that would be something held VERY close to the vest. I do not presume to speak for rangler or any one else, but your request seems a little ....................inquisitive.

Of course they do. They are too lazy to get out and find stuff themselves and get all pissy if the "amateurs" don't play their game. But, if you DID try to tell them of the Ancients, they'd probably laugh at you anyway to cover up their lack of real knowledge.

I can totally appreciate your holding on to your private information and sites. I would not ask that you offer any information of your own that is pertinent to ANY of your own work.

I am simply composing an arguement for a research paper that there IS in fact evidence that there were other travellers to this continent prior to Columbo.

Maybe my "inquisition" hit a little too close to home due to the lack of respect some of you great people here get from the usual "bad" company here. This request for getting pointed in the right direction was a genuine request. Maybe it fell on the wrong ears.

I have been doing a bit of research on the ancient copper mines of the Superior region and have found many references to Phoenicians and found this site of interest

Do some Googleing on Ancient World History dealing with Egypt, Libya, and Mesopotamia and their construction techniques. Various measurements should be mentioned somewhere in the writings.
 

One ancient measure that I am pretty sure to be universal is "cubits"
I would have to look it up to find the ratio to today's measure in comparison.

Welcome to the hunt..some good research there, while many facts are known, this site hit all the high spots, and some new info on the massive amounts of copper mined there in your state. (mi) eons ago.

Whats more, this data shows without the shadow of any doubt - that King Solomon, David and others were sending flotillas with the most able bodied sailors AND merchant/builders all rolled into one , those men of Phoenicia to the NEW WORLD
It is certainaly not hard to imagine or suppose that Solomon ALSO mined other non - ferrous metals in the new world ....right?

I do believe that the "Land of Ophir" code word for the location of the
CURRENT gold, silver and copper mines.. I do believe the during the time period, during the reign of King Solomon was in North America! to bring back gold and silver.

During the earlier time when the Queen of Sheba realized that her gold mines..(ophir) were playing out perhaps this is where she hatched the plan to call on the King, with a lavish display of gold and precious gift items, carried on a large caravan from North Africa to Jerusalem. Truth seems to me that she was "all in" Texas holdem style!? All the gold and silver and gifts were
ALL of the treasure she had, and she gambled on presenting it to King Solomon as a GIFT... she was just "priming the pump" in my view. Bless her heart!

I think the business mined Phoenicians also prospected for gold as well as copper ore.
They are the ones that built the ancient monuments..that we later thought were Spanish/Jesuit.
King Solomon was building the Temple of Jerusalem and needed TONS of gold.
The Knights Templar are living in this same epoch and dynamic.
The Knight Templar were financing and building with the help of the Free Masons all the great Cathedrals of Europe and THEY needed TONS of gold to buy billions of tons of rock and stone.
Not hard to imagine that the operational part of the extraction of precious metal from the New World was run by the Templar's, with the Phoneticians running the delivery system across the Atlantic. The Masons , the secular ones. the actual stone cutters not the later day Ceremonial Masons. Well its a pretty good fit, that the stone cutters Mason were employed carving and building monuments in the New World.
Like the Master the Colonialist and Evangelists, that the Jesuits were. they copied and incorporation the signs and symbols that ALL the culture around them used...incorporated and coded these symbols for their own use...

There is reason to believe that the Land of Ophir was in North America, at least during the Biblical times of Solomon.

This makes allot of sence Rangler Sir. I have seen some monuments that even with todays machinery could not be built. I have seen some rocks placed in positions that are impossible by todays means. One question Rangler who would use lions at there sites.

Join the club bro, well, I guess your already a member. After spending more than 10 years on a site here in Utah, I decided to stop where I was and wait until I could afford the proper equipment to excavate an ancient Ute Gold mine near my home. A couple of years passed in which time I had become attached to yet another site which still retained the very same marker sets as the other.

One day, a good friend and I decided to return to the first site just for fun and to take a break from the other place. I was still dowsing with a willow at the time and soon found the two of us standing high in the ridges of the area. With a gold earring in my mouth, I lifted up the willow fork and immediately felt an overwhelming pull, down into the rocks below us. The buried mine is right in the same path and so naturally I thought that it was the cause of the pull. We then walked down through the rocks and again I lifted the willow with the same results; a firm pull as if a fish were on the other end. I turned to my partner and said "See, the mine is just below us here. He thought it was cool and at that moment I handed him the willow and the ear ring. Same deal; he experienced his first dowsing event with the same pull.

We kicked around for a while and headed down the mountain for home. Some years later, an acquaintance told me that several kids had found two 21 pound dore bars that tested at 40% gold, 50% silver and 10% copper; right where the willow was pointing years before. They were buried there to mark an exact spot where an individual could break through a section of stone to regain entry into the mine below, should the portal be destroyed by nature or otherwise. Never Again.
