Bruised ego, caused by finding only zinc penny's.

I went back to the spine surgeon for follow up. Nice little plate I have there. If you look at my skull you can see a metal clip from the brain surgery I had in 2013.

Bolts in your neck to be all Frankenstein looking is all you need now....

OK I don't have a picture so I will describe it best I can. My brother and I were out in the hills in Arizona going off trail and I was wearing older boots that had the heels replaced twice. As we walked over the hill sides, the heel tore off both of the boots. As the rocky soil hurt my heels, I was walking on my toes. We stopped for a break and I took off my right boot to make a pad for my heel. My foot cramped. I did not know that your foot can curl in so far that your toes can almost touch your heel. I was sitting down when I did this and had to grab my foot with both hands and pull the foot back straight. Yes, I had tears coming down my face as I did it. Luckily we had stopped at a Goodwill store before the trip and I bought a leather hat for about $3. I cut the brim to make patches for both boot heels to get back to the truck. Never again would I have the heels replaced twice on boots. When the heels came off they also removed the leather on the bottom of the boots where the heels were attached.

Dave if you ever see any Armidillos, leave them alone. When they run out of other things to eat, they will go after the fire ants. Saw that when I was living 30 miles out of San Antonio years back. Any thing that will eat Fire Ants is on my Protected Species list. ;)

The sand pile reminds me.....

She had basically never been out of Ohio, when we met...or that town....

We took a trip to AL. My family had some scattered land there at the time....We decided to walk a fence line basically in the middle of no where....Taking it slow, a lot of brush or overgrowth, or what ever you call that viney stuff that takes over the South...She starts yelling! I turn around, shes brushing one foot off, putting it down, then lifting the other brushing it off putting it down,.......... real fast back and forth!! Then I realized she was standing on a huge!!! Fire ant mound! I went over and pulled her off the hill as soon as I could take it all in!............She told me! "my foot was hurting so I went over to stand on that soft dirt!" :laughing7::laughing7: Welts all over! She learned what those "soft dirt" piles are!!:laughing7: We didn't have them like that in Ohio, or if there is, I've never seen them, Not that big.

When I was living in Pipe Creek, 30 miles from San Antonio, saw them 3 feet high down the road at a neighbors place. Scary!

My wallet just took a hard hit. Does that qualify?

Sorry I didn't get any picks on here a week and a half ago when I tore the tendon in my arm that holds the bicep down. Here is one today of it after the surgery 8 days ago. It's been wrapped up and they finally took it off. It's weird because they cut the arm below the elbow and pull the bicep back down, reattach the tendon, drill a hole in the bone, then pin it in place. Sore as ..... Im not supposed to lift anything heavier than a coffee cup for 4 more weeks and leave it in a sling till my next appointment in a month.20170215_183748.jpg

Hang in there bud....
Seems to me, a month of lifting coffee mugs ain't so bad....

Pretty cool thread; apparently misery loves company. LOL!!!

Slipped on some ice, did a wonderful flip but the landing needed work. First week I was pretty wasted and it went by in a blur. Next 11 weeks absolutely sucked. Just don't heal as fast as when I was younger. Still have limited movement but I'll live with it.

Your last pic of the black boot brings back memories. I had a cracked lower leg bone. When I was wearing mine on warm Spring morning I was feeling pretty "good". I decided to take the ATV out and have some fun. I went out back in the woods and headed down into a deep ravine. I drove on the bottom for about 200 yds. and then climbed up a steep hill back to the top. That was FUN... let's do it again! So I drove around and dove back down to the bottom again. I found when I thought I had climbed up before and headed up. I got about 70-80 yds. up the side and was gunning it pretty hard to keep going. Suddenly both front tires hit a cut out covered up with leaves and my throttle got pushed all the way in by the sudden stop. That didn't last long (the sudden stop). My Honda Foreman said "OK... let's rock" and it shot straight up off the ground. Not cool at all....? It flipped completely upside down in midair and I remember thinking.... "This is gonna hurt buddy". I hit the ground and the ATV back rack came down on my black boot and my already cracked bone. Somehow the boot got ripped right off and the ATV rolled down the ridge and of course landed upside down. I was right about it hurting... IT REALLY HURT NOW! Now I was easily 1/2 mile or more from home and walking out was out now without crawling. So I crawled down to the ATV (leaking fuel out the tank) and tried multiple times to flip it back over on one leg. Finally I tried one more time and got it upright. It fired right up but now I was really scared to climb out and spent a long time picking my spot.... That set me back about 3 months in the healing process! Got no pity at home either.... go figure! :dontknow:

Almost choked on my lunch there Brad! Thanks for waking me up!! :tongue3::laughing9:
