Spanish & KGC in the ozark mountains.

If that hole gets much deeper, you need to start thinking about safety. All you need is for it to collapse in on you. What if you punch through another cavity and the hole fills with that nasty stuff. I'd consider some shoring, and/or a safety rope and harness at the very least, tethered to the top. For that matter, you could break through into a large cavity and drop. Yep, start thinking now, and be safe, Buddy.

Thanks Ditlihi, i will do that. Iam on a solid step for now. And the 3 walls are solid. The 4th wall where the cache sits is weak. I have another site like that, the funnel effect,Alice in wonder land if i dont tie off. Thank you, you can never be to safe.:icon_thumleft:

The roadrunner hole, aka the bit-eater, is a waste of time. (and effort)
My previous remarks were directed to the Real-deal-hole (the first picture) with white lime dust and gypsum rock slag next to the ancient concrete slab. That is where the water is a must.(regardless of what type of tools you choose)
The RR hole could be a useless liability as per Dit.
Thanks Maverick1. Its the same hole. 3 walls solid, floor solid. Iam working forward now into the soft/hard nasty mix,Iam keeping the over head cut back too. Thanks, you can never be to safe.

There’s a cairn about 20 feet from the bluff that looks like a turtle. I’ll more than likely be going back there this weekend or the next. I appreciate the comments and insight everyone gives.

I’ve been out and about wound up at the map sight. Got some pictures to share with y’all. Give me a bit and I’ll post them.

Maybe I thought it looking more bird like but it is an oddity among the other stones so I took a picture. It’s looking down toward the maps. What made me take a picture is it has half of an eye.

That would be pretty big haul for sure. Don’t really know what all the blocks mean yet but have a few leads. One is it means concealed or cemented in maybe.
