Spanish & KGC in the ozark mountains.

Nice, i know what id like to see, is you standing on top of that over hang and take a photo of the stones on the ground around that X. Thats a very interesting site.

I’ll get that picture soon. I’ve been following your posts for several years very interesting stuff and really good work at documenting your sites.

Your ancient thread is a great tread. I’ve enjoyed reading it and it helped me look at things differently

There’s more sign up in that hollow I was in when found the X & turtle. Didn’t get pictures of all of them or got spend much time in there. I’ve got many trials here that go all over. It’s confusing and looks like from different time periods.

Boy, I wish you Gent's would find something more than more signs to twist and tangle your mind? Yeah, We on this site are all curious types, but ?? when is enough enough?? Results Dang it!!!! lol

I hear ya Goldfinger450, Me too. I took me over 6 years to finally make a break thru to finally start digging. Where iam at there's so many stone setups, sun, shadow signs from different times it was really hard for me to work thru it. I wasn't just gonna start throwing dirt around. The guys i was chasing where good at there craft. Now that iam working at opening things up, i see there just as good at the under ground game. Most days are spent just being able to do 4 inches or less. There just not gonna give you kitty litter dirt or potting soil to work with. Its a whole new game of tricks when you dig. Its not like the farmers post hole cache. Lots of frustrating days. But iam still plugging away. Heck, its a chore just hiking in. Iam not giving up yet. When i do get to that give up point, it seem the next time out,i make a break thru. It dont come easy.

Thats how the sites are that i work. But keep at it, youll get better at filtering the stuff out. The guys i was chasing use a small ground game, stuff you dont see or hear about on treasure forums. Heck, all the X spot sites out my way doesn't jive with the stuff put out on Tnet. I have found that there are dig here signs. Most of my stuff, doesn't jive with the rule book stuff. Be Careful of the smaller stuff you move around. We have wild Javelins out here that root around the dirt, but some how they miss most all of the ground game.:dontknow: But i also believe that the guys i chasing poisoned the dirt. So if you dig,try and protect yourself.

That kinda looks like a symbol at one of the sites that iam working. Except it was done with a black type stain on the rock. Its about 6 feet from the dig spot. Iam taking it as a ownership mark 4 now, kinda like a coat of arms. But its it also cut in a large stone a little farther away and angled as a pointer to the spot. But its missing the cross bar at the bottom. Or the cross bar may show up as a shadow or sun sign, and i just haven't caught it yet.

Here's what that nasty dirt looks like. Its a real find powder. Its put in layers and pockets. You will dig thru it, then hit another pocket and it will come pouring out. Hopefully they didnt take me out. I wear a respirator and rubber gloves under my leather gloves. Its not natural to the other dirt.View attachment 1512532

That IS quite a contrast in ground color, taking Precautions is smart. That looks like fire ashes? or Lime? What do you think it is Dog? Some kind or churt? Call me Dave if ya like.

Dave, I dont know what it is. I think its a poison to protect the cache. There was that layer just under the top. Iam basically cutting thru solid slabs of stones. Then you hit a pocket of that crap and it comes pouring out. You break the stones up hit a layer. The back wall away from the cache dosent have that,Its solid rock. That crap is laced over the cache.

I’ve heard of them using cyanide mixed in the dirt. That would be a nasty death trap. They don’t make digging easy. A lot of work there.

Ya might want to get a sample of the dirt and take it to a water testing lab would be one way of getting a test done for low dollar, I think the last test I had done was $8.00...........

Really looks like you might be on to IT Eh?, Thanks for showing the dig. I'm no big Techno guy but I would think using a drone to run infrared in the area will show Ground disturbances for 100 years after turning the earth, might be helpful? Am thinking of getting a camera drone for such uses, they are not real spendy.

This image on the left wing of the owl is very similar to the one on the table above.
I can’t help but to believe that they are from the same hand of man

Perhaps a directional sign...

Just food for thought [emoji189].

It lends to the idea there was a fairly large group in here. If it was a small group the sign wouldn’t be as wide spread as what it is.

I agree. I have been inclined to think that some of De Soto’s men may have returned and retraced their trail to work sites along their trails. Possibly even creating a royal trail... Only a thought of a theory at present time.

Stone markers are hard to date, but the bulk of bent trees are two hundred years or less...!?

If you have stumps from large trees in your area, start a simple chart, recording the growth rings, diameter and , most importantly, the circumference of the trees/stumps.

That information can help date bent tree markers, bearing in mind that the bent trees have stunted growth.

Measure the trees and stumps close to the bottom 6”to 1’... compare them to one another, and add a few years to the results of the marker trees.

Uniformity that leads to one era may lend itself to a sound hypothesis, that the KGC may have reworked older sites and possibly re-vaulted treasure for funding the new CSA government!!

That could be the greatest historical find in our history, here in the south

Happy hunting.
