Spanish Galleons

Jason,
I just got off the phone with Deepsix47 (Brad) and we were just talking about how proud we were of you! We only got to meet you in person the one time at the picnic in Sebastion State Park., but we always remembered you. You have that special something my man...
Thanks again for your interest in what we're trying to do here. I know if you weren't where you are, you would be right in the midst of this.
Your advice is well taken and is always welcome.
All I can say at this point is I'm following your thread with interest, wishing you the best of luck along with wishing I was sharing your adventure in person. Thanks for your support...maybe This group will come together and do something similar to what you're doing.
Aquanut

Aquanut,
Will be there tomorrow with TreasurehuntingTom, may have a couple more, hope it will be ok. John Popin (formally of Amelia Research and Florida Research), he lives in Orlando. Also archaeologist Scott Jensen and Keith both from the Polly L are going to try to make it if the weather holds. Will bring extra food.

Doing some temp work right now and staying in Sebastian. Had coffee with Rex Stalker this morning.

DiverLynn,
Bring 'em on. I had a few cancel in the last day or so anyhow. I have had one request for a rain date. Not!
John

Aquanut:
Where to park? Don't want to heat up your neighbors.

My next door neighbor bought a fixer upper next to me on the other side of me. I am going to try to talk to him tonight about putting the overflow there.

Well folks, I'm sorry to say that my good friend and old treasure diving cook Deepsix47 won't be cooking his special stuff this weekend. It so happens that an old injury incurred during a motorcycle accident has blown up on him and I know from being with him many years that the pain has to be really bad to keep him from coming. He gave me some warning a few days ago, so I've fallen back on the old standby of BBQ ribs and chicken, Burgers, and hotdogs. Sidedishes ... a little, plus whatever anybody else brings.
Everybody, do a sundance or, if you know a backward raindance. The forecast has a lot to be desired.
Anybody know Les Savage? He called me a little while ago...
Aquanut

Thanx buddy: I really was looking forward to this weekend. As I sit here and write this my right leg is an honest double size of the left from the waist down. No knee and no ankle. Even the happy pills aren't helping much. I wish everyone the very best and hope to meet all of you in the future.

Deepsix

The weather is keeping Scott in Fernidana and Keith has generator problems so he won't be making it. Tom, John Popin and I will still be there.

For all who did not make the bash... we missed you! For all that were there... it was a real pleasure! For Aquanut and his crew (Mrs. Aquanut, the cook, Aquanut's nanny and the neighbors who threw in some goodies, accoutrements and labor) my sincere thanks!!!! Enjoyed it immensly! Great gathering and Aquanut did a spendid job! We are all much obliged. Great location, great food and a real good time! Thanks again. I hope there was enough grog left behind to make up for the mess. Drink hearty!

Whenever people like us get together, we collaborate, interrogate, and comiserate with one another, forging new designs, new hope and renewed kinship. Its the American way and it works! It will ALWAYS work! No one can take that away from us.

I'm thrilled you guys and gals had a great time. I'm sure there are a thousand stories to tell  Anyone have pictures to share?

:laughing9: :notworthy: :headbang: :hello2: :laughing7: :read2: Pictures! Sendum', emailum', postum', Whatever it takes. We what were not able to attend are lost without pitcher's. Gotta have pitchers and videos. :dontknow: :help: Putum' in a book? :read2:

John (Aquanut),

Thanks for a great time! I really enjoyed meeting everyone. Some new faces and old. I think we need to do this more often!

So when is the next one?

Aquanut,
Had a great time, sorry we slipped out without saying "bye", tried to beat the weather. You did a great job putting it together.

Hey Guys,
I want to thank everyone who came. I sincerely hope you enjoyed yourselves. The weather could have been a little better, but we made the BEST of it, didn't we! I wish I could have spent more time with each of you individually and I hope I can in the near future. As things always seem to go, I wasn't able to get everything in as I had hoped and a group discussion of plans wasn't happening. I realized early on that there were going to be small groups forming and moving about, especially since the weather kind of had us split up in a few different areas for a while. I was glad to see though that everyone was mingling with others. I was going to make a bit of a speech, but figured any specific agenda was really not going to happen during this social event.
I think we all got to meet each other, reacquainting ourselves with old friends and making new ones. I hope everyone came away with something of value...good feelings, plans for the future, new partnerships and real deals.
I would like to think that if any of us need some kind of support in the future that we can count on the help of those who came.
In closing, I'll put out the question... Do you all want to form a group to locate and salvage treasure? I would appreciate all responses, positive or negative.
Aquanut

John, thanks for throwing one helluva party. Monica and I had a great time. Pass along our thanks to all the other people that made it happen. It was good to meet old friends and make new ones and hear some amazing treasure tales. (gotta remember to bring a pen and notepad. Dang Firefly Iced Tea Vodka) Enjoy the pics. Tom
