Building another sand sifter. This one out of PVC pipe.It will be ....30" wide 48" tall. The mesh/screen will roll up on the 2 front vertical 48"x2" tubes into a small package for transport and set up at site in one minute:)
It should sift through a shovel full of Dry Sand as fast as you want to shovel it .Thinking of placing a beach towel at the forward base to catch the "good stuff" for later examination.

Tom,
Well you're not the typical German prototype that's for sure....:laughing9::laughing9::laughing9:

Here's hoping the heat lets up for you shortly. I try to do the strenuous stuff early in the morning during the hot weather.

....

"Germans have this work ethic that doesn't allow them to rest until they do things right"

OH NO.... so it means I am not a german :laughing7:

Buddy, we still have here 38 degrees Celsius and I DO NOTHING at the moment !!
Also in the night the temperature doesn´t go down!
This heat feels like never before. It feels like we sitting in a microwave oven and the skin hurts from inside. NO JOKE! This does not feel normal.

So I spent one day in newyork on the farm exploring a hidden room of the farm house cellar. We are still figureing out the mystery. When this spot was first found it took a week of moving stone and breaking concrete. When you could stick a light in the hole, we were rewarded with a hidden room !! It had an ancient still that was still in working condition. There were 4 large oak barrels, a 5 gallon glass carboy filled with the finest hooch,50 -100 bottles for filling with moonshine. My aunt found this spot a couple years ago and it was th main reason for me going up there. There is money in here some where. I searched where I could and found another area of disturbed plaster with a uv light. We opened up a small hole in the back of the hidden room and found a tunnel from the cellar to the outside. AFter moving the wood pile outside the house I found a capstone with 2 horse shoe handles used to lift it and gain entrance to the still room. This is one of the coolest things ive ever been involved in and you can feel that there has to be a stash in or around this root cellar. There is still a lot of stuff to clear out , and there working on getting it cleared so we can do a thorough sweep next time. There has been a thin cap of concrete poured over the dirt floor, so ill have to crack some if there is a reason to dig. I can feel the silver dollars hidden in here some where. My aunt would not permitt me to post any pics but ill sneak some on when I can. Definitely a prohibition era operation from the age of the bottles. All were early machine made crown tops green in color. And yes my aunt and here friends drank every drop of shine and enjoyed it very much.

Bart, I believe you have a touch of destiny about you!

...

should we prepare the guest room ? :icon_thumright:

Bart,

Yeah Tom's gone awol we'll have to send WD to stalk him.....lol.

Probably just busy with work, Germans have this work ethic that doesn't allow them to rest until they do things right...it's like they're got the eveready bunny complex or something.....:laughing9::laughing9::laughing9:

It is not stalking when an invitation is implied!

Tom, I assumed you were preparing my guest room.

All you pilgrims get out there and find something to post. b3ae34e0282cfe87f0781c38404c66ee.webp It's too hot here.

Been sick. I think I have a summer cold. Monday was the worst! Went yesterday to apply for my passport. Then, last night we took my baby girl out to eat for her 35th birthday. We found the best restaurant ever! Mr Wd had filet mignon, daughter and hubby had NY strip with bourbon bacon jelly, the two boys had BBQ salmon, and I had lobster crabcakes. Desert was frozen peanut butter pie with hot fudge sauce, strawberry sorbet, and a raspberry pecan souffle. We all shared. I had managed to already loose a pound on my diet and I think I gained 5 back last night! :BangHead: But dang, it was worth it!

we need the rain here

Looks like there is some in Norther TX and Oklahoma that is moving southeast. But it doesn't look like much of TX is going to get any.

Looks like Bill, is going to get wet.
