Pirate Treasure-Trying to get a permit to dig up

This might be a question for another thread, but I would love to more about dowsing and how it works (obviously from a scientific standpoint). Maybe there are se links?

Seems like folks are talking about all different kinds of dowsing from the tradition water finding with a wishbone shaped twig to folks being able to remote locate far away treasures using maps? Let's print out a room sized world maps from google and give it a shot? Do we know what can be dowsed - gold, silver , water, etc. and what can't be dowsed. Is this some sort of electrical signal being given off by an item? Very fascinating. Would love to hear any serious comments.

0121stockpicker-I have seen others use dowsing in all forms. I have my own rods and can locate simple things like water lines and wire. I KNOW it can work because I have done it. There is a dowsing forum on treasurenet and that would be the best place for you to ask your questions and get positive answers.

Do we know what can be dowsed - gold, silver , water, etc. and what can't be dowsed.

I have heard of a lost mule being dowsed but I believe that you need a mule's tooth to do it. BDD can verify.

A dowser was at my house two years ago and asked IT to find ME. I was standing three feet away and sure enough
the rods pointed in roughly my direction. The other guests were scratching their heads and snickering. He was serious
but overly medicated with tranquilizers.

I now have four dowsers saying that there is treasure buried at the Pennwood Inn. The benefit barbecue and treasure hunt is on Nov 3. I expect to have more results from other dowsers. It should be interesting.

Sam, long story. Dowsers get real excited when their rods cross. It's gotta mean something, right? Let's imagine it means
a huge treasure is down there and my $10,000 LRL knows where it is. Exciting right? Yeah, but then the inevitable happens
and no treasure is found. HMMM, must be further down. It's just gotta be there, or somewhere. I'm getting tired, I can't
dig anymore, think I'll go home and try to figure out what I did wrong. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

Meanwhile the dogged detectorist just keeps digging up metal articles, he doesn't daydream about unrealistic fantasies. He
knows his limitations and the odds of finding a pot of gold are extremely slim but he knows if there was a big pot nearby
his state of the art metal locater would tell him about it.

lastleg-Sorry you don't have a fantasies. Maybe your doggone dogged determination detector detecting does dictate deliberate directions, depth, degrees, density, due deposits. Don't demean, demoralize, demolish, deject, deny, denounce, deplete, deprave, depress, derail, derange, deride, destroy, disparage, discombobulate, discount, dispell, dissuade, discourage, discredit, my diverse dowsing, divining, detecting nor digging methods. I am sure you are very rich and successful.

Before discombobulating childish fantasies I have used proven methods to unearth metal objects that were really in the ground
due to gravity and the covering elements of nature. I have yet to spy one valuable object of precious metal obtained by wishing
well contraptions and devious demonic doodling dopplerizing doodlebugging dookickeys.

We will be hunting for treasure at the barbecue in Wabasso at the Pennwood Inn on Nov 3. We will be doing this to help mad4wrecks. There will dozens of people with metal detectors. I will have a photo with treasure spots marked by dowsers. This will be a great opportunity to see if a dowser puts us on some buried gold or silver. Dowsing works best when it is used to help others. There will be lots of witnesses to what happens. I am not the dowser in my story so I have nothing to prove about myself. I obviously believe it can work. If a dowser is the one that locates the treasure, maybe, just maybe, it will shut up some of the critisism on Treasurenet about divining.

BCH,the above quote is what I refered to.
How are things at Monroe Station and the Glades?
I have been very busy trying to keep the station open 5AM to 9PM. Sorry I havent had time to reply here much because I have no internet. I have a few days off and I am in town now and I will try to catch up..

I asked myself the same question a few months ago stockpicker. My research and a determined search of TN archives turned up one post where an MDer actually may have found treasure dowsing. He says his dowsing rod led him to an old foundation where his metal detector found some coins. Im sorry that was all I could find. If dowsers are finding treasure, they are not posting it in Todays Finds.

BCH-You have been doing your best to discredit dowsing. If you don't believe it, fine. If you don't believe my story because a lot of it is based on a dowser, fine. I don't understand why you need to continously follow my posts trying to convince others to not believe what I have to say. I have seen dowsing work many times. I have talked to dozens of plumbers who use it regularly. I am a member of our local dowsing club. There is a forum on TN devoted to dowsing. Oil companies use dowsers. The US military uses dowsers and remote sensors. As far as your "determined search of TN archives" how much time did you spend researching the stories or threads on the dowsing forum. It would seem that if you were going to research dowsing on here the dowsing forum would be a good place to start.

BCH-You really don't want to find anything that will burst your bubble and cause you to look like a fool for your continued attacks on all things dowsing. If you don't believe that dowsing can work, please leave me and my story alone.

lastleg-you have read enough of BCH's posts on this thread and on the swamp gold thread to know that what I have said may be rude but it is incredibly true. If he is going to dish it out he has got to be able to take it. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. There are hundreds upon hundreds of threads on TN to choose from. BCH has stated that I am wasting my time and the Miccosukee's time because he thinks my story is a bunch of bull. He wants nothing to do with me because he doesn't want to ruin his reputation, but yet he can't leave me alone.

BigCyprus has been identifying finds for forum members a lot longer than you have been on TN. He has a sterling reputation
and your comments are childish and rude. I never took you to be a malicious person before this.

Did you see where BCH just got caught saying dowsers should stay on the dowsing forum? Now that alone is not so bad, but he had made an earlier post that suggested dowsers should be on "Today's finds," showing what they've found.

Thanks Lastleg. I continue to turn the other cheek because Im just not interested anymore. I only post here once a week at the most now and I was talking to stockpicker. He asked for information from a scientific standpoint and I did the research. I will be glad to remove my opinions from this thread. I really dont care.

Please go back and read KK. Finds in Todays Finds. Empty holes and unsubstantiated claims in the dowsing forum.

Yeah, now that you've been called on it, you try to make it sound like there's a difference, depending on which board they post on. Come on man, you know as well as I do that you guys are not gonna believe any finds claimed by dowsers or LRL users, regardless of where they post it.
