Pirate Chest: When to give up

So now what ?

Gonna go fill your hole ?

Or make it bigger and make a swimming pool ?

Its a long drive to the location but I guess I should go back and fill it in. I made some steps so any animal that fell in could get out. I was tired and I was wet. Everything was wet. My tent my sleeping bag...everything. I was just happy to finally find it.

flgliderpilot-Seeing into the future is a little harder to believe than the ability to find metal buried in the ground. I am not saying I don't believe in what your saying, quite the contrary I have had experience with it myself.

I agree with you, but that's how remote viewing is supposed to work. The viewers see a target not always in the present time. But a faint image like a very dark snowy television screen.. no fine details just basic shapes (roundness) and sometimes a color or a smell and if there is motion they may pick up on that also. It's not very precise and polluted with with unrelated mental images which is allegedly the military gave up on it. Does it actually work? I have no idea. I tend to think it does not work, but I have experimented with it myself and had some surprises... although nothing that couldn't be ruled out by chance. If it worked I'd expect the dowsers and remote viewers to hit the beach every day and locate all of the gold rings but that never seems to happen. Maybe they are there earlier than I am!

Under the pipe was another pipe capped off and full of valuables just out of the reach of my metal detector.. It was under the brick. I cant comment much more. Sorry

The hole with water is just an empty hole I have been digging. It kept filling with water and I kept bailing it out. I found the brick off to the edge as I was expanding my search area in a pouring rainstorm yesterday afternoon.. Its not an old cache as evidenced by the PVC pipe.

Thanks for the Congrats

Nice work. I'm not asking for details, but how did you find something like this? Rumors? Written in a diary? Sleeping with someone's ex-wife? :D Just curious.

I have been given a lot of possible locations by someone I have referred to as a "remote viewer". That may not be the right term. I don't really want to go into exactly how their method is done as I am not sure of the details and am not going to ask. There may not even be an official name. I am working with different people that are using methods that they have come up with on their own and so far it appears they may know what they are doing. It is not that hard to come up with simple tests that will convince you one way or the other. As I have stated many times, seeing is believing. Reading what others have to say (including me) is not the best way to figure out the truth.

My guess is he was told a story about something hidden and was given enough details so that he knew approximately where to look and what was buried. ECS is quick to discount "stories" but they can sometimes have the most accurate information especially if the story has not passed thru too many people and the facts get garbled. I have been told many modern day treasure stories that cannot be found in writing anywhere. I meet new people all the time and I bring up the subject of treasure on a regular basis. By doing this I am told about many new possible treasures to go after. If only I could stay focused.

Bigcypress... let me ask...
Did you have a "lead" for this spot... if so what was it ?
Word of mouth ?
Story in a book ?
Little bird on your windowsill one morning singing sweet treasure songs ?

What "pointed" you to this "exact" spot.
No details required... just curious... my mind works in erratic mysterious ways.

Congrats BCH!

Keep rolling.

Many people bury money or valuables for different reasons. Sometimes its best to say nothing more. I knew this cache was there for years but I just couldnt find it. Everything looks the same in the woods. I was beginning to think it was no longer there. Its really nothing to be proud of. No research was involved, no dowsing, no remote viewing, no LRLs. My detector didnt beep because it was too deep. But I am happy I did finally retrieve it. Im still in pain from digging.

It just goes to show that even though I knew it was there, I still couldnt find it for years. You could be just a few feet off. If I had died, it would have probably died with me. Several other people knew of this cache but probly would have never located it, unless by accident. Actually a backhoe had already scraped the area and I thought it may have already been found.

Yes Im sure there are many buried caches that are lost forever. As an example, my uncle buried a fortune in gold coins and we never found it. He actually invested in a Colombian gold mine before his sudden death. He was a pilot and flew back and forth. My aunt thinks some workers may have accidentaly discovered his gold and stole it. But it may still be buried. But nobody knows where.. Should I go searching for it lol while Im on a roll? Everyone else in my family has given up.

Congratulations on your Discovery! I hope this fuels you to persevere onto the next one! Perhaps your Uncles gold? Good luck and Good Fortune! HH

BCH I just saw this. Congratulations on your find! You deserve it. One more reason to never give up the search. I think Bigdogdad is next.
I gotta hand it to you Walt. You are another one that doesn't just talk about treasure but actually goes out and digs for it.

Any pictures of the pipe you found which was capped which contained the cache? Not looking for contents just trying to live the moment.... that empty pipe isn't very exciting :D

I really havent done much treasure hunting other than the beach lately but thanks. However I have been digging this location for a couple years with no luck. I was afraid to tell anybody. I didnt know who to trust. I was tempted to hire some Mexicans from the area to help me dig but that might have been a bad idea. I actually had one good friend help me but he gave up after a few digs. It was very frustrating.

I could take a pic tommorrow I guess. Its just a similar PVC pipe capped on both ends, but smaller. 1-1/2 inch diameter about a foot long. Im trying to survive in a bad situation. Maybe Im just paranoid but I dont need a visit from the IR and S or anybody else at this time.

My Uncle buried his gold in the Florida Panhandle, most likely in the yard. My Uncle died while raking leaves. He was my favorite Uncle and my Godfather. My aunt moved from the house after my uncles death so it would get complicated dealing with the new property owners.. They never found it but believe some workers may have discovered the gold coins and stole them. However it very well may be buried in the yard. I dont even think they had a metal detector.

BDD maybe you could make some videos about your testing of the different types of treasure seeking devices. Just a thought..
