deducer..i know you probably think we are a bunch of hicks here in az but believe it or not we have done some investigating on this area and many others...we actually have a university here...wait..actually we have two...and they both have investigated this area and many others...none of them thought they were bonafied enough to do further research...forgive me but i'll take their word over yours

He never claimed to be, and he made it pretty clear that he was just hazarding a guess. However, he said that at the time he had seen the scrapings in the '60's, there were ironwood trees growing in the path of some of those scrapings, which would make them pretty old, don't you think?

the problem i see here is you are basing all your research from what you gather online...if you want the truth you should try coming down here and talking to some of the locals...they didn't read about it..they lived it...i know if i were researching something i would want to talk face to face with an eye witness...just sayin

The only clues I believe in are the carvings on the saguaros.
They have been carved over a hundred years ago (tell by the layers of the scabbing).
Yet they could have been faked back then, but I doubt it.
Those saguaros are gone now.
My dad found the location of the kings royal fifth by using the codes on the saguaros.
Rock formations, maybe but no codes on rocks,
a ring of a certain type of tree grown only in Mexico was used as a locator on a hill out there.
I've got pictures of carved hearts, turtle, dagger on rock that's obviously fake. And this was back in the 60's!

Awesome, in Bob Wards book, “echos of lost.....something or other, he mentions such clues east of the main mountain just north of Hwy 60, near where the stones were reported to have been found.

No this is in state park area....It wasnt a park back then, i remember walking along a wash, on the left side was a huge boulder with a 5" heart carved in it. I have the picture.
