More Interesting New Findings From The Beale Ciphers

John William Sherman also wrote a book review fir the Beale Papers that was in the LYNCHBURG VIRGINIAN, April 10, 1885/ Page 1, column 3
"A pamphlet under the title of "The Beale Papers" has just made its appearance in this city and contains WHAT ARE SAID TO BE AUTHENTIC STATEMENTS in regard to an immense treasure buried in Bedford county..."
Take notice of "What are said to be authentic statements"- that statement does not lend itself as a affirmation of the story being true.
...and that's just the facts...

All the facts!

All the facts are that it is still a book review written by John William Sherman for the purpose of inducing the readers of Lynchburg to buy the book.
Did you notice the "big boxes of gold and silver" , not iron pots or even one ton pots, but boxes?

"1828".....:laughing7:

Just the facts!
The facts are in this book review there are several errors concerning critical portions of the Beale narrative.
Did John William Sherman make these on purpose...
...or he never read the story as he was setting the type at the Virginia Print Shop?

I think he keeps posting "just the facts" because he wants you to give him some since he doesn't have any.....I think you're miss-understanding the context.

Sounds as if he had never heard of it before!

He had no understanding or knowage of The Beale Papers!

Really....hey ECS, tell Masterpoe just how many ads for the Beale Papers appeared through this same source.....:laughing7:
Nope, never heard of it before, that's for sure....:laughing7:
So many ads I have no doubt the entire region including all of Richmond had heard wind of it.....:icon_thumright:

I don't think M Poe really knows who John William Sherman was or his connection to the Beale Papers job print pamphlet or the LYNCHBURG VIRGINIAN newspaper which ran the adds.

The professor probably failed to fill him on those contrary details...:laughing7:

At this point I just wish one of these certain claimers would present something that's even remotely possible....

All the mistakes he made! And you hosers think he wrote the Pamphlet? :icon_thumright:

Nobody "knows" who wrote it,...:laughing7:.....just a lot of guessing. Of course, nobody can establish the true life presence of Thomas J. Beale either but that hasn't stopped them from manufacturing the man again and again. Heck, some simply toss the entire story aside as all fiction so they can write their very own fictional story in place of the original. I would think someone like yourself, who is so easily accepting of all manner of wild speculation as being fact would have no problem fully supporting someone factually claiming that Julius Ceaser wrote the Beale papers.....:icon_thumright: I mean, you have established this practice.....

Are you referring to the Poe story? That the treasurer is in Poe's house?

I'm referring to just about everything you conveniently perceive to be fact in relation to the Beale narration. You even go as far as to directly contradict the original source materials in favor of more convenient resolution, the very word's of an author who you claim is speaking in truths. Dare I ask, how can your speaker of truth be so wrong in his many details? You don't even realize what you're making the story out to be every time you act in direct conflict with the author. FYI, you're turning your speaker of truth into a Liar......that's what you guys keep doing every time your replace his details with your alternate conveniences. :laughing7: In essence, YOU, YOURSELF, are proclaiming the original source to be fiction. "Actions speak louder then words".....are you familiar with this saying? Apparently not.

All those "mistakes" may have been deliberate to clue the unwary reader of 1885 Lynchburg not to waste his time searching for a fictional treasure in a dime novel story.

Can you be more to the point? I don't understand your question! What is not in line with the document you are calling fiction?

I don't think there are mistakes. Just the authors and Wards changes to help the reader understand. One thing Franklin said rings true. The fact that there had published the pamphlet just to find the person who possibly had the key. I think he is right, but have seen that somewhere before? :icon_scratch:

Well, for starters, let us begin with a Thomas J. Beale that you can't even establish as having been a real character. A grand adventure that you can't even establish as having ever taken place. A fabulous treasure that you can't establish as having ever existing. Ciphers that can't produce grammatically correct clear text, and yet apparently do. "A flood that destroyed the alleged key"........:laughing7: Let's just limit ourselves to these for now.....
