live update from jupiter with seahunter

Thanks, Seahunter. I noticed the breaker line across the old unstabilized inlet. This allowed the migrating beach material to cross the inlet without much loss. Like a river delta, the water velocity entering and leaving the inlet dropped, and was not great enough to carry the sand away from the beach system. The only natural inlet left is Matanzas.

Well we finally got out of the yard and back out on the site. Tim from treasurenet joined us and we found a couple coins and a bronze spike and couple musketballs. Going back down will post more pictures.

Looks like Fun Scott...and I know Tim was having fun. I had a nice visit with Joseph last night, and we are both still hoping for an October reunion with you.

Someone should start a TH'ers yearly calendar and make that one of the pics.
I am doing just that right now.
I have Rgecy's permission to use any photos he has taken.
I am going to ask SEAHUNTER for permission to do the same.
I am also going to ask POLLY-L for their permission as well.
Yes IT IS A great idea.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! thank you sir!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some new pictures of some of our earlier finds. The long thin one is about five inches long and 3/8of an inch in diameter. The shorter one is about three inches long and 3/4 of an inch in diameter. Any ideas as to what they are?

Is the top one hollow? It looks like it could be a bossuns whistle maybe with that slit.

As for the bottom one, it looks like a 350 year old cigarette lighter out of car! ;D ;D Just kidding!

That one has me stumped!

On your bottom picture if the top comes off it could be a syphilis syringe for the administration of quicksilver.

Hi Mo
The top looks like it did come off. Although it has a hole about 3/4 of an inch in diameter on the other end, but we could be missing part of it.

Scotty, I think you are right, that it is a measure for gun powder.

Here is a photo of a syringe found in a shipwreck:

We got out again this morning and now the ocean is calming down real nice. First hole was beautiful but empty. Second hole gave up a nice eight reale of the pillars and waves variety. Tide is coming in now and the water is getting real clear. Should be able to get some real nice underwater pictures today. Stay tuned for further updates, hopefully we will get a couple real nice weather days and will keep posting as we go.

Hi Scott & Scottylee -

Sounds like you've been making a killing since we meet earlier this year, had a great time meeting both of you, big kid and Scottlees son. However, I can't seem to remember what are the good months to come down as Cat and I are trying to put together our plans for 08 travel and want to try to come down in the month of May. Is this normally a good time for the area - weather and all.

Pls advise - Don
