live update from jupiter with seahunter

Saaaaaweeeeet!

Excellent job guys! Keep it coming up! It was a pleasure meeting a couple of you guys at the treasure expo in Cocoa. Let me know when some of the coins I looked at are available for sale. Also, send me private email (with contact info) for a possible Vero Beach Spring seminar convention for Spring of next year. Just in conception phase now, but looking good. Would like you to participate with a speaking session. I have many good speakers who are waiting to see if I decide on progressing. It will be good.

Best Regards,
Stan Dilcher

The state LOVES finds like that................
It may be bargain time ??? with them.........

Do you have pics of any closeup detail? initials? scene?
a truly gorgeous piece......
and better yet, you shared it with us....and that is just as special.

Thanks again for your photos, which seem to get better each day.

You guys are very close to gold now........it's your time, your right there.

Hello Everyone
Contacted our archaeologist and decided I would like to give it to the state right now. I have been downstairs in the state capitol and seen the preservation lab and met the people who do it and I believe they could do a better job with it than anyone else. If it is a true antiquity it will end up there anyway and rightfully so.
Dale we enjoyed having you with us and I must say the moment you showed me that was probably the highlight of my treasure hunting experiences. I am hoping for some more moments like that with some gold bars thrown in.
Scotty and Doug were back out with a friend from Germany today and found sixteen more coins and some encrusted objects.

Scott, that is truly amazing! MAN I gotta get back down there. Remember way back when you said I could be there when you struck gold? It looks like it's about time for me to return. LOL I'm betting there is a plate that goes with that somewhere near by. I'll be in touch soon.

Jason

Hi Jason
We have not found the plate yet, (lol) but we have found a lot of artifacts and dozens of coins lately. Doug and Dustin pulled over fifty out of one hole this week. Waiting for you to come back so we can find the gold. I will try to post pictures later today.
Scott

Scott and the Seahunter crew,

Congratulations on your new find!!!!! you guys are doing great!!!! Thanks for sharing....I wish you all the best of luck

Chagy......

Scott,
Nice stuff you've found there. Way kule!!!
The Polly L has moved south about 4 miles north of Sabastin Inlet. We have found a brass tack from a chest and a spike last week so we feel we may be getting closer.
Took Rex Stalker back to the dock on Thursday and had this weekend off to finish my pool and will be back on the boat Monday morning after working about 10 days straight.

Still hope to catch up with you on the Seahunter before the season ends

Hi Diverlynn
Really enjoyed meeting you and would like to have you come visit with us. Here are a couple more pictures. I know what some of them are but not sure about all of them. What do you think?

Hello Scott,

Congratulations again!!!! this keeps getting better and better!!! Is the fork silver? does it have any marks or initials?

Chagy.....

The "Jeaga-Meister" strikes again. I'll be diving in Ft. Lauderdale on another project for a few days week after next. I have a feeling I'll head South on my way home, you are really on the trail man. Not sure about the age of the silverware, most of the 1715 stuff looks more primitive in shape, but I'm still far from an expert...on anything....including but not limited to tableware. :D Best of luck, and see you soon!

Jason

"This use of the fork, as a symbol of pretentious display, became a source of satire in the court of Henry III.

Two-pronged at first, the fork was modified to three-pronged and then to four-pronged at the end of the 17th century."

Seahunter,
Great finds, good job. Could #20 be a small kleet? I see here it looks like it fastens down to something. I am definitely not the one to ask. Way more experienced folks here than me for sure.
We have a tenative project starting the middle of September for about 40 days, our deck is needed for some hard hat divers to work on so we will just be doing maintainance, I am sure I can get away to come visit. I will be going down to Key West to train with the Fishers Mag guy for a week also (boo hoo) in that time. Anyone who will be down there let me know and we can get together.

Hi Diverlynn
I think it is a whistle. It is hollow and has a hole on top on the larger end. The parts that stick off it have holes large enough for a very small string or thread. It is maybe a half inch in diameter and six inches long. The other one is maybe an inch in diameter and four inches long. It may be a shot measure or part of a syringe. It appears to be several pieces put together.

Scott,
I love the knife and the Broze nail.
Can't wait to see the knife cleaned.
How big is the nail?
Peg leg

Scott,
I do not believe that the knife is a regular type knife.
I feel that it may be a Spanish Navel officers short sword and that under all that coral there is a surprise waiting for you.
Can't wait to see what is there.
Peg Leg

Peg Leg, he cleaned the knife and it is a modern stainless steel butter/table knife. See the second picture up top.

Scott, give me a call. I PMed you my phone number, Steve

Oh Well.
Since it is a modern Stainless steel butter knife I will give $10.00 for it AS IS.
