K.G.C. member here to share some history and treasure hunting tips!

Thanks for clarifying the amount back to 1960s values. At least now we're within the realm of possible, if not radical possibilities when we reduce the amount of gold by 97%.

Interesting you should mention the post war German gold theft by the US. It's my contention that the US, after the notorious scammer Noss's death, used his VP ruse as "insurance" to cover movement of the war gold. If ever called to the carpet about gold bullion "found at Victorio Peak", the government could claim that they seized the "Spanish treasure trove" that just happened to be "discovered" on the military reservation. That made Noss and his misled family useful tools years after Doc was killed for trying to scam one too many investors. I've argued my Noss theories at length in the VP threads.

If you have been saying that for years then you have been wrong for years. The gold at Victorio Peaks was none of the Nazi Gold. All of the Nazi Gold found in the Merks Salt Mine by General Patton and the third army was distributed out to the countries that it was stolen from all except a few million and it was given around 1978 the last distribution was given to the Jewish Members of the Holocaust. I have assays of the gold from Victorio Peaks and it was only 60% pure, Nazi Gold would have been 22K to 24K Refined Gold.

What is the KGC I would like to find some treasure :)

Google "KGC" or Knights of the Golden Circle. A lot of reading on the Internet. Several books out there. I have a book written myself but it is not going to be published yet.

STILL not sure about your "Reason for Being" except to "honor" CSA History...?

The same as it's always been.

First Degree: Militia training and prepping, in case a second civil war occurs in our lifetime

Second Degree: Gathering money (through legal means, nowadays) to fund our activities

Third Degree: Running the organization, as well as state level political activism with the eventual end goal of an independent Confederate States of America.

There is rumored to be a Fourth Degree. I know nothing about this, and have found nothing on the internet.

Thanks for responding although still looking to verify. That's ok I can understand in today's political and economic situation there are a lot of people Prepping. Our small neighborhood all of us would be considered preppers. We are all really modern homesteader's. Each one of us do something unique and have a different skill set. We help each other out all the time. We live rural enough that the nearest grocery is 27 miles away. The next nearest is 35 mile away so we try to limit the trips to town by stocking up. Someone always has something you need and we just replace it when we get to town. We trade eggs, fish, and share wild games from our hunts into the woods. Everyone makes extra when we bake and share. We share our garden produce with each other and make sure the old folks are taken care of. We when we go to town are always shopping for at least two other family's and they do the same for us. Not anything to do with KGC but the southern way of life.

It does sound as if someone did resurrect the KGC. In some way there is a element of danger in doing this. Mainly because of the political atmosphere in the country today. Especially since the britix. Even in Texas there is a movement to exit that is picking up steam since the British vote. There is also the chance that this is a Ponzi Scheme the money flows up and never down. To a certain extent this is what Bickley did 160 years ago. It started out as a honorable southern pursuit but ended in a cash cow for him. The James boys and others were committed to the cause and helped filled the coffers. Brickley gave up the being grand commander for one year 1859-1860. He spent half that year in the town where the new grand commander lived.

One other point I would like to discuss. The parallel between the political climate in 2010 thru 2016 has a lot of the same earmarks of the period of 1855 thru 1860. The federal government infringing on states right and the government leaders not listening to what the people are saying. The straw that broke the camel's back Lincolns election in 1860. What may be the straw today? Let's all hope we never have to find out. The straw is never put on the back of the camel. Certain part of our states the people are more turbulent and rebellious and are quick to take action. The people in Missouri are a lot like that and have a history in the state of this dating back before the war of northern aggression. More like the the people of Alabama or Louisiana than the people of Tennessee.

Guess I will get off the soap box and have another cup of coffee.

I can't give specifics, but I can assure you that very little of the money goes to the Imperial Council, much of it ends up with First Degree Castle Captains and Grand Commanders (State level leaders) with instruction on how it is to be spent.

The political climate today is very similar to that of the 1850's, unfortunately we are not as large or influential as we were at that time, although there are numerous other organizations on "our side", such as the various Tea Party militia groups. Many thought that the straw to break the camel's back would be the election of Bernie Sanders as President, the election of a self-admitted socialist theoretically would have caused a backlash on the right, and opened the door to the possibility of secession in Texas, South Carolina, and other Southern states. That possibility can be ruled out at this point. Another possibility is if Hillary Clinton is elected and passes major gun control legislation (something huge, like a ban on assault weapons, or her proposed $1000 tax on handgun sales). This would certainly lead to a violent uprising and at the very least, states would refuse to comply with the law, and there would likely be some serious talk about secession. Jade Helm 15 was also a big concern, many thought that Obama was planning to invade Texas and declare martial law (Obviously, he didn't).

Sticking with KGC Treasure Hunting is BEST for you guys, here. THAT is what I am interested in this forum board of TN; Missouri PROBABLY does have "LOTS of KGC "Loot"; are you guys gonna be the "NEW Sentinels"...? Should I or my "TEAM" have "AK's", too...? Missouri sounds like the new "killing fields"...

Missouri KGC once again the straw that breaks the camel's back will be States rights. Only a fool will come after guns a try to grab them. In the last 7 and a half years there has been 52,000 guns a day sold. The military and LOE will not turn on the people. I believe they may turn on the politicians. We have been to war against countries, pirates, ourselves, drug lords. We have had presidents impeached, resigned, and assassinated. The only thing that we haven't had that every other democracy has had is a take over of the government by the military. In France with Napoleon, England with Cromwell, Rome with Julius Cesar. History always repeats itself and sooner or later it will happen here.

I have to agree with Rebel that southwest Missouri most likely has a good amount of KGC treasure. I think there was a (for lack of a better phrase) War road from Joplin ,Missouri to northeast Texas and northwest Louisiana. Most likely along the U.S. Highway 71 corridor. There was a lot of war munitions manufactured in northeast Texas. Hats, uniforms, saddles and gun powder in Marshall. Guns and a repair depot in Tyler. Shreveport had several war related industries. At the time of the out break of the war Harrison and Panola counties in Texas were supplying over 50% of the cotton exported out of the United States. Jefferson,Texas was a bigger exporting port than New Orleans, Louisiana. The big money after the War that fueled the KGC/O.A.K. we're the outlaws and enterprises of the KGC. From Nebraska City, Nebraska to Joplin, Missouri.

I want to fast forward and give you all something to think about. Ft. Smith, Arkansas was a federal court and government center after the War. There were more outlaws brought to justice in judge Isaac Parker's court than in almost any other in the west. What were all these outlaws after. Some horses, some cattle, some just plain evil badmen. But how about the bank robbers and highway men. Think some of them might have been working for the KGC? Coffeeville, Kansas on down there were a whole host of bank robbers. Some of them shot dead by posses some taken back to Ft. Smith to be tried and hung or imprisoned. Think this is why there is so many treasure signs along the Oklahoma/Arkansas border.

And now to brew a new pot of coffee for this evening's study. Cheers

Bro, ENJOY your coffee, AND! R & I... one aspect that I saw in my R & I, (in my earlier days), was that "The LAW" in those areas you mentioned were FORMER KGC "looking the other way", when former CSA Rebs/KGC Outlaws robbed banks, etc. WORTHY of MORE R & I... MANY of those Outlaws were "protected". (Singing "Johnny Yuma was a bad Man... a BAD, BAD Man... made up my own lyrics). He was a former REB! THE REBEL... Nick Adams!

YEP! Watched the TV show on my parents' "Black & white"... THE REBEL! Even had my RIFLEMAN rifle with caps; Chuck Connors was COOL! Heh...

Yup use to use the couch arms as our horses and strapped on our Roy Rogers cap pistols. Caps were a nickel. Used to have to find five pop bottles a week to supply our cap ammunition for the week.

My R & I indicate such is similar to our VIRGINIA DEFENSE FORCE; NO Rebel outfits, tho... NO Rebel Flag.

Rebel I have a different opinion of a coming Civil War II. I believe it will be possible to start one. It will only take one state like Texas to secede and most of the old south will follow in very short order. This time it will be way different than the last time. For the following reasons and you can thank KGC and O.A.K. for this for they knew the south would one day rise again which may be the biggest treasure they hid.

1. The make up of a new C. S. A. would be the old solid deep south excluding Virginia. It would include the state's of Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Kansas, North Dakota, and Missouri.

2. This time the north would be at a distinct disadvantage as they would be starved of most vital resources for fighting a war. That mainly being energy in the form of gasoline and diesel fuel. Along with the majority of natural gas to fuel what industry they have left in the north and the fact that the north gets cold and some places very cold most depending on the south's natural gas to heat their homes, schools and hospitals. Remember also there are very few oil refineries in the north.

3. The rebels within. The north with their class warfare has spawned a class of rebels that would conduct a guerrilla war against the establishment. Much like the Wolverines in "Red Dawn" they would be a constant source of disruption for the north.

4. Burdens on the backs. Since the times of the Korean conflict the army has drawn its forces from those of the south. Southern men have a rich heritage of military service. This comes from the fact that most southern family's sent men to fight in the War of Northern Aggression. This has bred a strong sense of military pride in the south. Something that the north totally lacks. Military service was also a way that the poor southern boy could pull himself up by the bootstraps and increase his lot in life.

5. O.A.K. at work still? Look today where most of the manufacturing takes place. They have shut down most manufacturing in the north and moved what's left into the south. With the exception of Boeing most of the aircraft is manufactured in the south. Cars, boats, ships, what durable goods we still manufacture are done in the south. Sun and energy are the to big factors in where manufacturing is done today. I have a idea that if O. A. K. Is alive and well they had it planned this way.

6. Deer Hunters Delight!!! NASCAR maybe the the favorite sport of the southerners but will guarantee the first sport with the highest participation rate is deer hunting. I have lived both north and south and never have I seen a sport that so much time, effort, money, and energy is put into. Two days before deer hunting season the grocery stores are filled and shelves are emptied of supplies for the hunt. It looks like the north 12 hours before a big blizzard is about to hit. These hunters a marksman and are dead on shots. Only in Maine, Michigan, and northern Minnesota do you find people as crazy about the sport as you do in the south. How would you like to come up against a squad of southern deer hunters that know the area and their rifles are good to 500 yards. While your battle rifle is good at 250 yards. My money is on the deer hunter.

To sum this up the government has inadvertently caused, because of being bloated and needing to find ways to become useful in the there eyes, a feeling of disgust, mistrust, and anger among the people who they depend on for their bread and butter. I have heard it called tyranny as a observer I would say it is over reach. More rights being removed in the name of public safety. No transparency in the government. The courts legislating from the bench. Incompetent people in high government positions. Politicians looking out for themselves. Companies putting millions if not billions of dollars into the special interest. Politicians selling influence. People giving up freedom for security. Again I as a observer can see how this will lead to a new Civil War II.

And now the first cup of coffee of the day a big bowl of good burley tobacco and a stroll thru my vegetable garden to see what is ready to harvest.

Back when Snowden defected I witnessed a marvel sight. I don't know if anyone else noticed but my brother (now deceased) and I saw a string of airplanes at about 20 to 25,000 feet up nose to tail in a string like Christmas lights. They passed over our home for almost 30 minutes. Hundreds of airplanes. It sounded like WWII. They all were headed SW or towards Texas. Did anyone else witness this? Also I don't believe we have to fear a Civil War II the way our country is going we may lose it in the very near future

No. We do not claim ownership of the old KGC treasures that we have not found.

The government says that pretty much everyone is a "potential domestic terrorist". If you look at a list of every type of person described as a "potential domestic terrorist" or "potential terror threat" in government documents since 9/11, it covers pretty much everyone who isn't a nonreligious moderate democrat.

I wouldn't count on New Mexico, but Indiana and West Virginia would be along for the ride. Florida and Virginia could or could not, just depending on who is in power in those states at the time. Missouri kinda-sorta seceded the first time around, our elected government voted to secede and gained statehood in the CSA after the Yankees took Jefferson City, but Lincoln and the Yankee congress claimed that our government had abdicated by leaving the state capitol, and appointed a new pro-union state government.

There's also the possibility of states like California and Oregon splitting, a lot of "neo-Confederate" Tea Party militia types live in the eastern portions of those states.
