I THINK I JUST DUG A GW BUTTON IN CANADA!

Let's just hope 'The Gods of Treasure Net' realize how historically important this find is due to the fact that it was found outside of the US! :occasion14:

Thanks again for today Jim, you made some really nice finds especially that beautiful crotal bell and the early token!

Send me a text when you post them,
Dave

The pressure of now doing another post of finds.:laughing7: I'll agree on the nice bell it's a little keeper.

Thanks for the kind reply from one that's digging up some awesome relics this past season and having a real passion for what they're doing.

Yes I'm going to display this one properly with make a case or buy one, and to make sure it's laying down on a bed of foam properly like IP suggested it's probably the best way and I trust the suggestion.

Thanks pepperj! I really appreciate that a lot. It's been a fantastic season on my end and I think I have 2 or 3 hunts in me before new years. Maybe something good will turn up.

Once again, incredible button man. If you get it in a case it'd be cool to see a picture of it in there. BTW, I voted when I posted a few days ago. Well done!

I just voted banner. The Colchester group in England came up with a GWI button, and it received all due praise a few years back. While GWI buttons are posted with some regularity, they're still exceptional finds rich in history. For every one person that has found a GWI button, I know another 100 detectorists who are still looking for their first, the holy grail of button finds. Congrats!

Thanks STC

I didn't realize that the club had dug one a few years back, I'm sure it's on good many want lists and it will remain on many.

Geeze! A little late to the party.....but I think this button has more "likes" than my 31st box plate!:occasion14: Congrats on your find and welcome to an elite club! Hogge

Jim, you better not dig anything else that's great or you'll really create a bottleneck in this banner process. :)

& a banner means...what really? Great finds pepper! Thanks for sharing.

Look at the top of the page... that is the banner and finds go up there by them being voted on as great finds. See "nominate banner" beside the number of each post.

Outstanding...got a banner vote from me!

Thanks Romeo

From a guy that has a six pack of them you've done beyond well for recovering the rare.

Thanks Hogge
Nothing is cold yet so the party is still going on, and thanks for the kind words.

Well yesterday it wasn't that we didn't dig enough holes and hitting different sites, though it didn't happen.

It is a GREAT find, especially up here. I just meant don't let popular vote diminish what you find & like.

Thanks HD for the clarification and kind words, and no worries of letting something diminish my own feelings of what I know I have dug.

Has it made it on the banner bar yet?
I won't know unless someone mentions it, there is nothing above the posts on this phone.

No Msbeepbeep no banner yet...I've been checking every day...can't believe it is not there already!

Wow pepper!!! Wow!!!
What a fantastic historical find.
And it couldn't have happen to a nicer guy! You always have kind words for everyone.
Without a doubt a banner find.
As soon as I finish writing this I will vote.
That is the Holy Grail of buttons for us Colonial diggers.
Still at the top of my list.
Congrats. Now lets get this up TOP!!!
