I was digging near a river today and I found this little guy. He is very light, greenish, and has some crystal-like structures around it. Can anyone help me out with this, please

Don't know how to post picture.
Found this volcanic rock and it is full of amazing color. This rock happens to be full of some sort of purple mineral. I want to say Amethyst, but it's probably wishful thinking. In other samples Of the same type of rock I found a greenish-blue color, I am assuming is copper. This was found right next to an old-closed prospecting claim that reported a finding of copper, iron, etc. Any help on Identifying this rock would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Based on the two pictures and what appears to be conchoidal fractures, I would say that is slag glass. It is possible it is obsidian but I doubt it. Close up pictures may help in identification or a general idea of where you live or are located.
Sorry I don't mean to usurp the thread but just wanted to try to help.Duuuuussstted,... Where are you?! We are anecdotally clueless in here... No deliciousness??!!
