Can you Identify any of these? The last few, I am curious to know if they might be gold?

I went to an estate sale and this was down in a box of rocks they gave me that had been stored in the garage. Any info is appreciated. Thank you!

Ivy, the metallic material looks like it could be chalcopyrite, Copper/iron sulfide. There is probably pyrite (iron sulfide) as well.

I need help identifying the minerals in these rocks. I found them in an outcropping of similar rock. It is different than the surrounding geology. The outcrop is in a mountain range of shale in Western Washington.

Silver in quartz?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did clean it in a tub of water and a scrub brush. The possible silver stuff won't come off, I tried my fingernail and a stick, didn't want to go further because I didn't want to damage it if it is silver...

looks more like gold bearing ore to me...
It could be crush and pan time....

I believe silver comes out of the ground heavily tarnished, so unless it did before you cleaned it, it could be a number of naturally occurring metallic mineral!

It looked black and nasty before I scrubbed it. After scrubbing, it looked like polished silverware!

Been awhile since I came by. To make it easier for whom ever is trying to help identification, try not to post a dozen pictures!

5 pictures are plenty for a post, if you have more rocks you want an ID on - save those for a later post.
It's easy to get discouraged by having to write a long list and trying to remember what photo is what number.

Now back to ID!

Kyle,
Looks like pyrite. the rocks look folded, i.e. metamorphosed. Keep on looking.

Tyee,
Silver, just like gold is malleable. Push a needle against it, see if it gives after like a soft metal does.
Also do a streak test, rub it against a unglazed piece of porcelain. What colour do you get?
