looks like gold, but cannot tell without seeing in person, some rocks will fool people.Hey guys and gals. I do a lot of metal detecting around old mines here in southern California. This one is stumping me. What do you all think. It sounds off with my md20 falcon detector. I find a lot of chalcopyrite but this one looks a little different. I can scrape out pieces with a metal pick. It doesn't come off as big chunks though. Seems like it's a mixture of metals. When i scrape it out it just comes out as tiny pieces. When i pan it out it is heavy but doesn't act like solid gold. I have found flour gold in the past and it just doesn't stay in place like flour gold does. It is found in all the black sand in my pan. So, if you have a guess, I'm interested in everyone's opinion. Thankyou
