Got A Rock you Want Identified? Post it here! gimme a good picture or 3 or 4!

What are the minerals Im looking at exactly? Hungry for knowledge. I assume Iron is in there...and some form of mica. Its everywhere. Seeing quartz everywhere. White, Dark Red, Rose, Yellowish, Orange. I'm real close to a confirmed placer mine worked early 1800s. This is in a steep, deep, trench cut in to the hillside. Not sure why or what the trench is.

wah

What the heck is this? Its heavy. PC211761.webpPC211762.webpPC211763.webp

Wil, I am going to guess schorl &/or tourmaline. There is an area very close to you that produces. I picked this up out there. There is also a beryl source nearby. Ain't living in Cali great! Gold & Gems everywhere!
How big is the specimen? Wanna sell it ?

Dusted, Can you tell me the minerals in this red purple rock. I haven't seen this before inside as a white looking patch of crystals I think are green in the one spot of this rock.Rock also has holes in it . I tried to get a closeup of these little green crystals to show you but hard to do. Even the white stuff around the crystals shines too. Looks like little emeralds through my loop.Rubys? Thanks.Red Purple rock 001.webpRed Purple rock 003.webpRed Purple rock 004.webpRed Purple rock 008.webp

I live in Yuma AZ and found these three while metal detecting the pot hole area north of the Laguna dam. Any ideas?

They all are in a quartz type stone I took them home and cleaned them up for a better look and I can tell you they are not bullet debre, or slag from welding or melted lead they are very heavy for there size.

OK I am stumped. I was reading about gold being found in organic material. I don't have a picture of one. But would like a picture or description of one.

Found the pic on another page. Wierd....

OK I understand certain plants absorb gold and silver. Would the area be worth prospecting. How do I go from plant to the source.

is this iron?
