Hey Dusted, tracked down an old mine where supposedly there was silver and gold....there are 2 spots where I believed the old timer's where pulling rock out..the first spot is a pit that either collapsed or was filled in...no MD signals from this area which is the lowest in elevation out of the 2 areas

The second area seems more
promising, fair amount of red/black/quartz...

Got some faint signals with the MD bouncy 30-50 range...so I chunked off some of the rock...mostly from the backside of the arch q...here are some of the chunks.....

Crushed some whence home and found no gold/silver that I can pan anyway...wondering if I'm getting hotter or if I should concentrate in a particular area/ see if I can find/ chase the vain if possible... Anyway thanks for taking a look and for the past/future help. Could you suggest a good book on the geology of gold...Thanks!
Well M8 Im looking at sedimentary rock with A huge amount of mineralization.. silver yes copper (ABundanT), Iron and pyrite.. The mine itself doesnt look to deep tho (you said filled in?) and the sedimentary rock is going to "Leach the minerals" thruought.. unless there is some Vein (look for quartz) from a major Earthquake. or land shift... Definitely worth a look but not without a really good look for the vein.
