I am also willing to look for any other clue and open to the idea that they could be something else. I doubt it though, even though it is a strange yet to be unidentified playing field. Even though we have found no other Gonjii stones made of metal yet, they had to be made of something else besides plastic. Gonjii is an old game and plastic was not popular until the last half of the 20th century.Dimeman said:And you are correct as to if you don't know what type of game was played, then you don't really believe they are Gongi stones.
Yes these are made of metal, not plastic, and have a number 2002 on them. Best possibility of the number ------is the year 2002.If most are made of plastic since the last of the 20th century, why were these made of metal for a possible date of year 2002?? A special set for an occasion A display set only one made A set made for a museum?A set made for a athlete who won most medals in the special games?
Why haven't any other metal ones shown up yet is strange..... if indeed these are common Gonjii game pieces, that nobody else, has found any other pictures, reference, or knowledge of the actual metal ones, or even plastic ones with the same symbols on them. If a manufacturer made plastic ones with the same symbols on them, it would be very helpful.
They could be ,Gonjii game pieces, they are very similar in desigh, size and shape of the plastic ones. But why metal, and why nobody knows about these metal ones.
Piggman found them, so we know they were made.....he asked for proof, of others.
I took a small journalism class in high school, many many years ago, and they told us, that to get answers ,ask the 4 W's.
4 W's--- why, when, where and who------ make these metal pieces
