I don't vote for the game either....are you 100% sure they do not come apart. To me it really looks like they should, and coupled with the one that has one side missing. If they were larger I would say souvenir pill cases. They sure are neat though. Nice find.

I've been trying to get one open, now I'm 100% sure they don't come apart.

Keep looking pigman, I am. I want to see the box that these specific ones came out of and exactly what they are used for. As new as they are I cannot believe that they aren't out there on the web some where. And just to be as stubborn and hard headed as you, if this is just a Korean or Asian game, why the hell are they written in English? I have played a lot of games and looked at oodles of game sites (probably not as many as the Professor) and haven't seen anything remotely close. We have put way too much effort into finding out what they are to settle for close or maybe.

Piggman1........In order to be considered a positive I.D., I take it you are looking for a clear

pic , or website address where this can be viewed, showing one or more of the exact same

"lugnuts" from either a website, catalog, book, or some such, that includes descriptive

text. In my opinion, anything short of this would be considered a "clue", and while clues are

definitely helpful in any investigation, I agree it is premature to call this case closed by any

means !

I have just been in contact with a guy that has some of these also. I ask him to send me some pics so I could post them on here.

Piggman1........Hope he has more than just pics of them, otherwise we are right back to square one. Did he find them, or buy them packaged with instructions ?

I don't know. I'm still waiting on his reply. He asked where I found them and said there could be more. I didn't give the exact location, but I sent him all my pictures I have of them. It sounds like he found his too, and doesn't know what they are either. I assuming his are different still. Hopefully he wasn't yankin my crank.

That would be great!

It seems that if the game is "pegged " it would be easy for somone to get the history and maybe some manufactures and maybe some Actuall pics of thes Tokens being used on the game.
Sorry I'm tired been working 12's going down now. Albert

I can't believe these are still unsolved ??? I went to the beach for 4 days and just knew I would come home and read the answere :) One has a Japanese symbol ! the 2002 one > so we know they are from Japan >>> right ??? and something to do with the Olympics ??? Heck fire I give up !!!! What are these things ;)

What is the Japanese symbol on the 2002 one?

Hey, here is a real "What is it" that got barely any response. It could possibly be a couple hundred years old. It is some type of coin. I don't understand all the attention your silly game pieces have gotten. It is obvious what they are by now. Or is everyone just having fun with this? Everytime I check out "what is it" I keep seeing this. ??? ???

Don

He posted a hex nut game... Two colors, two players, tie together a string of eight.

Maybe your finds are part of a multi-player game... I dunno.

I like Angelo's idea best.

Post it under cleaning of coins, there are ways to remove that crust. And then you would know what it is. If you know what they are, tell us and show the proof as to such, and we will end this thread.

The pieces are part of a Korean game that used to use just stones. They started making metal ones with drawings to make the pieces collectible. Now they offer plastic ones to make it more economical for all children playing the game. I will look for some proof of this but it is hard since it is an Asian game and the websites will need to be translated.

The World Cup was held in Korea in 2002, they have never sponsered the Olympics. They did participate in the 2002 winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The only thing on these that could even remotely have anything to do with Korea is the first symbol in the zero of 2002, which is the symbol of the Korean flag, Pepsi ads, and numerous other things. There are no other symbols on any of these to suggest they are Korean origin. Even the words are English, not Korean.
