Oh Vey....ya' had to go find another one.... :o ::)

Ok....I just printed out the new photo....taking this to work tonight. Been working in another dept the last couple of days, so couldn't ask customers...tonight I go back to my normal job (well, back to the job I was hired to do...)

As for searching....key words I have typed in:

Ocatgon dice
Replacement dice
2002 World Cup Game Pieces (from the newest piece posted)
Game Pieces
Olympic game pieces
metal nuts (:))
Printing Press Dyes
Board Games (in general)
Mexican Board Games
Russian Board Games
World Cup Games
Olympic Games
Odd Shaped Dice

(I know I typed more....trying to get my brain in gear to remember all I searched... ::))

Even searched my online newspaper archive....to no avail....:(

Just to give you a list of what I searched....

Ok...will hopefully post tonight of what my customers have to say about these things!!! Give me a genealogy search and I'll find them....give me nuts and well....here are the results..........NOTHING!!!

Back to the drawing board!

Just viewed this post, they could be covers for tire valves on a car. I bought a set for my MGB with the Union Jack on them. Just a guess.

Piggman...from this site....I was looking for different sports layouts (I'm not a sports fan myself...so I am lost, except for baseball/football fields, as to what field is what).

I found this picture interesting...as it shows a layout of a funnel type field, like you showed in your arial view of the area you have been searching.

But I can't find out what kind of playing field that is for....back to searching. Also, on one of the arial shots you provide...there are two fields with the same funnel design...one on each end...the further one away appears smaller than were you found the NUTS...

Here's the link, but also attaching the photo:

PS: Is it LAWN BOWLING????

They put that layout on alot of fields around here. I still don't know what they play on them, but that will be easy to find out. It is a common thing, so all I have to do is wait and finally see some people playing on it, or someone marking it off, and just ask them. I doubt very seriously that the fields we are talking about and the "pignutz" have anything in common.

This is my first time chiming in on this one. They look like sharder valve stem caps to me, the only thing different is that they are missing the threaded portion that fits inside the cap. I have lots of different styled caps, and sometimes the threaded inserts come out, one of my 8-ball caps that I have on my ATC pulled out. Just a guess.

Even if thet were threaded, that still leaves the problem of getting the cap off because the copper plating covers the seal.

All I can say is, you better be glad it's raining here this morning. Otherwise I would have to be finding another one that would be even different yet. ;D

So why the basketball/netball logo on each one? And the race car?

Thought you would deliver that answer, Daryl !! :D :D :D

Haven´t got the ..... idea !?!?!? ;D (yet!)

I've been reading along with this thread for awhile, and have a question I don't think has been asked yet.

If you roll them like dice do they stand up to show the picture, or are they just as likely to lay on one of the 8 flat sides?

Visions of Yahtzee keeping popping into my head. :)

I was wondering ..... maybe some kind of packaging.... like endcaps for a plastic tube..
just a shot in the dark

6-sided, not 8-sided.

Hi Daryl.
In my line or work we relate to fasteners points, not flats. That would be an 8 point fastener (nut or bolt head). In our arsenal we have a separate set of 8 point sockets for fastener with 8 points. Common standard sockets set have 12 points, and the smaller metric sockets have 6 points.

Just because they have 6 flats, or as we say in my line of work 8 points, doesn’t mean they weren’t some kind of decorative nut at one time. I'm not arguing that they are fasteners, but I just wanted to point that out.
