Wow! nice necklace pendant. Looks like Garnet stone

Found this beauty in an abandoned baseball field. I think it’s missing a 9 in the center, there was a coastal artillery unit 197th coastal artillery stationed in the gun positions on the north shore of Massachusetts in the 1890’s. They were part of the New Hampshire national guard. I’ve been back to look for the 9 but the place is covered in bottle caps and pull tabs making it quite a task.

Joe,

Great find, hope one day you find the 9 to complete it. If you have the patience odds are lots of keepers in among the bottlecaps and trash.

One of my favorite ring finds at an old high school sportsfield it was just blind luck that I found it. During the summer I was detecting the field the the rain started pounding down. I ran for cover under the canopy of some trees along the fence and continued detecting.

Up pops a Rolls Royce long service ring two coloured gold with small diamond it was resized and the inscription had worn off so no chance of a return.

Every once in a while I dig an old dime. But they never win any beauty contests :laughing7:

This article from Coin Week estimated that only 115 to 125 of these dimes survive. So I'm very happy to have saved one.

Gopher,

That gold button is a stunner for sure. Thanks for sharing.

I had to go back to my post to see which 'button' you referred to.
The top picture is a Sterling rope-edged concho pin that I dug up about three weeks ago. I WISH it was gold!

Somthing different from the Ford category.. This is a front bumper emblem off a Model-T. This was bolted in between the split part of the upper and lower half of the bumper. Found it during my first few months of detecting at a farm house I lived in.

Correction: Sorry a Model-A front bumper. You can see it in the center of this one.
