Thought I'd share one of my more unique finds. This is a Siamese Silver Bullet Coin. They were made from 1250 to 1850. Its 15 grams of silver. Found it in an area of a park where there was lots of square nails and ash in the ground. I assume it was dropped by a Native American because I found a 1807 KGIII copper. Not far from the Milwaukee River.

Anton,

I'm way late on responding great bunch of old silver thanks for sharing!

TheMilDetector,

Sorry for the late response first time I heard of silver bullets thought they were only for vampires....lol.

Considering we're still in the throes of the covid era thought I'd try to revive the thread.

Here's another find to add to the pot. Sudbury, Ontario Canada is known as the nickel capital of the world and has the nickname of "The big Nickel".

I found this souvenir token in a school yard and it almost blew the headphones off...lol. The coin is for size comparison.

Feel free to continue adding finds to the thread.

Sven,

Nice of you to drop in and help get the thread moving again. A couple of beauties!

Here's a beat up 1837 "Millions for Defense" token I found last spring... I hope we have dirt that dry sometime soon! Most of my hunts lately have been pretty much digging in soup!

ARROWHEAD.jpg

My first and best arrowhead, found in Carter County Kentucky. It is the Hopewell style, and made of Flint Ridge Chert, which can be found in Ohio.

marbles from third day of digging the foundation of a housesite.jpg

Two marbles (one is a biggun') found in the foundation of the same house that yielded my staff Officers button. These are either Civil War period, or pre date the war.

DSC_1170.jpg

My finds from three days of metal detecting on the battlefield of Jeffersonton Virginia. A short, rapid fire encounter took place in late 1863, after Gettysburg.

Another find for the pot. It's a ladies silver ring there's a gal I see quite often walking her dog I should remember to pass her the ring because her name is Tina.
