UPDATE 19.2.2014

Road keep giving silvers (1 more/25 total ):)
Today plan was to chek another path in same forest, but to get on that path i needed to go over my dear:) silver road, and i say to myself if there is 24 silvers, there must be atleast one more :D and there was 1 more ! :D... after some time hunting nothing shows up so i moved on secund path as the plan was.
14_opt.jpg 2014-02-19 akce_opt(1).jpg
On secund path i found 1938 prety nice coin, i see that one first time so for moment i thought its gold one, unfortunatly its not but still nice one, atleast for me :). thanks for watch and read! :) (photo on page 6)
yeah btw, i manage to get some ID on some of those silvers: 7 are sultan Suleyman I “the Magnificent” (reign 30 Sep, 1520 – 7 Sep, 1566) mint in (Novaberde, Kayseriye, Novar, Sidrekapsi, Kratova) 1 is Sultan Selim I "the Grim" (reign 1512–1520)

Congratulations on your collection of early hammered silver coins. That must be a thrill to find coin after coin in the forest. Makes the mind wander about how they would have ended up there. I dug a hammered Morrocan silver Muzuma last summer here stateside and found a coin expert to ID it for me. You might want to contact him with a picture of your coins.

I'm sure you will get plenty more good finds & I hope you post them. But mark my words, in 10 years time (if you are still detecting), you will look back on this knowing it was an even greater find than you first thought.
My Wish List No.1 is Hoard. I would be happy with a bronze one, silver or gold is too much to hope for.
Although yours still might not be technically a hoard (not sure yet), as it maybe a purse loss, I would still be over the moon with that many early hammereds!
Cru is right on here. Make sure you enjoy every part of this experience that many never have the opportunity to enjoy. The age and volume of these silver coins certainly makes this banner worthy in my eyes. I think many have been too caught up in this post to step back and realize just how incredible it really is. The best part is that potentially there are many more coins there. You really should consider trying to come up with a deeper machine to see what you may be missing right now. Best of luck, Abe

That photo of the twenty convinced me that it's a BANNER FIND for sure! Congrats! I'm voting and I'm sure others will too.

If you are not totally addicted to this hobby by now ... I don't know what would get you there.

Definitely worthwhile to borrow or buy a higher end machine and work the area. If it's free from iron maybe even a PI?

Can you tell I'm excited? ->->->Go For It! :blob1:

Welcome to TreasureNet mihmar79 cool Coin :icon_thumleft:

Jep, i think it's worth to take a step back and look on these hammereds. Now 20 from these spot. A find with more than 5 is considered as hoard/treasure by the archies over here. Any day with only one hammie is a good day. Not to say 20 and hoard in outstanding condition. I was in the thrill of beeing involved in a hoard find and forgot to vote Banner!

OK.

Hopefully you know where they all came from. Therefore once you are sure you have covered the whole area carefully & got all the surface coins. Dig off the first 6 inches of a 2 metre x 2 metre square in the area with the heaviest concentration. Then detect it, checking your spoil as well. Go deeper if coins show up or move your square to the side of the last one, expanding your search all the time.

Don't do this until you have cleared as much as you can because this level of disturbance will attract attention by others who walk that area.

Thank s Crusader on explanation hows that need to be done, problem is that area is not on my land and i dont think so that i will not have some posibly problems by law diging of that size, so ill go tomorow again and chek place slowly 1 more time, and then ill leave it until i get some better machine,

one senior forum member give me advice to put all parts of those forest path hunt in one thread...

first "serius" find - II PART (from 20.1.2014.)

After few weeks not touching it, today i "use" good wheater, it was 15"C (59 fahrenheit) which is crazy for this part of year, usulaly is about 0 (32f) and colder here, so i take my ace 250 and after cheked some new spots, i decide to hit my "silver coin road" even i pass her already few times, i hoped to find some more silver coins, and i did!
All together was 3 hours there, and first real signal that could be silver comes in 2,5 hours deep in hunt, and it was, and soon the other comes to, with the 21 silver that i found on same spot before, its now 23 with those 2 new ones, so lets not make it to long here is the pics, thanks for reading and watching!
