UPDATE 19.2.2014

Road keep giving silvers (1 more/25 total ):)
Today plan was to chek another path in same forest, but to get on that path i needed to go over my dear:) silver road, and i say to myself if there is 24 silvers, there must be atleast one more :D and there was 1 more ! :D... after some time hunting nothing shows up so i moved on secund path as the plan was.

On secund path i found 1938 prety nice coin, i see that one first time so for moment i thought its gold one, unfortunatly its not but still nice one, atleast for me :). thanks for watch and read! :) (photo on page 6)
yeah btw, i manage to get some ID on some of those silvers: 7 are sultan Suleyman I “the Magnificent” (reign 30 Sep, 1520 – 7 Sep, 1566) mint in (Novaberde, Kayseriye, Novar, Sidrekapsi, Kratova) 1 is Sultan Selim I "the Grim" (reign 1512–1520)

Hi Mihmar, did you go back? Just curious if more show up!

hi Westfront,
good question :) Becose after long time, yesterday i was in that forest, at first, on other location. After 1,5 -2 hour that i didnt find almost anything except old bullets, shrapnels and tons of musquitos that finds me :icon_scratch:,decide to move to my dear silver path. After few hundreds meters i come to path, but, path is now full of grass and other forest plants (was lazy to take a picture) ???:O so its hard to find even small part of clear space on ground to put detector on. :( so i call it a day before musquitos eat me alive 8-)

Mihmar, what a once in a lifetime find, great job!! I'm sure i can speak for alot of other participants in this thread and say WE ARE JEALOUS! ! Any of us would be so excited to find just 1 of those coins.

Have you had any of the coins looked at to see what they are worth?

Great finds neighbour. Keep looking, love to read about every new piece you pull out of the ground. And get a mawnlower for the damn grass!

UPDATE: before few days (didnt have time to upload earlier, sry :() i was on my silver path , to be more corect i hunt forest along the path, unfortunatly i didnt find any more coins, but i found this thing, i dont know what it is, but seems to me like something medieval :icon_scratch:

Agreed, looks medieval but no idea of function.

I was thinking more like a Roman Bow Brooch.

Close. I don't know if you have this term in UK, we call this kind of brooch Knee Fibula. Try a goggle picture search with " Kniefibel ". My first thought was medieval too, but when you said Bow Brooch i knew where to look.

I guess so, I just thought the bow was too angled, but I have no knowledge of European variants. Looking again, it does seem to have the residue of an iron sprung pin.

Thats why i asked of the knee fibula. These variant of a bow brooch goes straight up with a sharp bend like a knee down. We don't find them often here, looks like they are more common down south. :occasion14:

Reminder only charter members can sell.

may i ask what country this is? Killer finds! this site must have some serious historical value. maybe bandits ambushed a trade caravan there once.
