Another from swr --> also think SWR is more upset that "grown-ups" claim there are natural signals and man-made signals floating about

Maybe it's both. So what do you think he was wrong about?

Yes you will

Man....I have no idea what that refers to!

Is this a delayed reaction to something I said last month or something?

I think we have uncovered a new communication pattern here. It goes something like this: "The level of sanity or insanity of the subject matter, determines the level of sanity or insanity of the two-way communication attainable in the discussion."

All one has to do is to also look at politics, to see that this just might actually be a valid statement!

:dontknow:

Actually....I think SWR is more upset that
I also think SWR is more upset that "grown-ups"
I don't think SWR is upset that a few folks are bending coat hangers,

Ah! Well, that certainly clears it up, doesn't it?

The test had a glitch. After 15 mins. a signal developed that I hadn't found initially. Could have been messing with results.

1907 dime at 8 in. 125 ft. away. The other items were found on the way back to the sample (in the center of photo) with the Minelab.

May more this to the edge of the field. The E-Scope is too hard for novices to use in any wind.

Sorry, I'm not used to looking for silver.

Good haul!

It looks like you found three rock shop mineral specimens, a shard of obsidian, an intact sea shell, and a few coins and washers. All within 125 feet of each other.

It looks like you hunted the yard of a collector, whose kids liked to bury their treasures.

If all those were all in a straight line, then the entire property is probably just as loaded with stuff like that. The mineral specimens are of value.

:coffee2:

I looked at that reply in hope you had tried it. I found a .45, .22 shell casings, quarter, nickel, 2 pennies, 1967 dime, and a 1907
dime. I set them on a shelf with a meteorite and other goodies, that's a fish scale on the right. The dust placed itself there from the fields.

Field test 4/16/11 2 neighbors ages 13, 15 Sample 25-35 ft from target and decoys.

Results---No sample Both no responses 3 trys Silver quarter both 3 correct 2 wrong

Funny that the wrong were responses in places the real one was before.

No attempts with electronics due to wind.

HI EE, yes I did make a boobo myself when I posted --> Another from swr --> also think

No excuse Sir, other than I was double tasking at the time and didn't pay proper attention,

It should be obvious you are not going to get a straight answer. This is the typical BS that comes from Joseph's posts. No validation what-so-ever. Refusal to quote, refusal to tell the truth....refusal to participate in a discussion like an adult.

Looks to me like discussing Treasure hunting at all is confusing to SWR..Art

Actually, the topic here is not treasure hunting. It's the octo-fenixes' test.

But, in regards to your mention of treasure hunting, why are there no reports or photos of treasure finds from the U.K. from LRL users, like there are from metal detectorists, even in the newspapers too?

Gee EE..I see all kinds of reports about people locating treasure with Metal Detectors. Is there a question about what kind of Metal Detector was used?...Art

Are you trying to claim that I asked about brands of LRLs?

Or are you trying to claim that people always call LRLs "metal detectors"?

No I did not..You stated that there is not a set theory for their operation..I just explain that they are manufactured by different people with different theories as to what they want each one to do.

Or are you trying to claim that people always call LRLs "metal detectors"?
"long range locators" (devices, that supposedly, can find precious metals at a distance).
I can not speak for others but I know that I use mine to locate metals..That is why I am on a Treasure Hunting forum and not a Explosive Device..I would say that most Treasure Hunters know that is why they own their a LRL Metal Detector..Art

No, con-artie, you are wrong.

You even quoted me, as above.

It has nothing to do with theory of operation of LRLs.

It has nothing do do with what you supposedly find with your LRL.

It's all about people, whether on this forum, or in the newspapers, telling about and showing pictures of treasure finds in the U.K., which were found by the use of LRLs. They are nonexistent. And I asked you why.

So, con-artie, just tell why there are stories about metal detectors making treasure finds in the U.K., but none about LRLs finding anything there?

In case you forgot, you get paid for your finds in the U.K., rather than getting penalized like here in the U.S. So some have said that's the reason for not showing the big treasures supposedly found by LRLs in the U.S. But there is a lot of treasure hunting going on in the U.K., so it would stand to reason that we would be seeing lots of it here on the forum, and in the news. Right?

So, why don't we? Where is it?

Do you understand the question now?

P.S. When will you man-up and take Carl's double-blind test, and collect the $25,000.00?

Do any of these reporters know that LRL’s exist ?

How can I answer that question

On the manufacturers Web Sites.

I asked Hung the same thing after he claimed Brazil kept everything, and that's why all the major LRL finds there never made the news.

Not surprisingly, I got no reply

They always show a picture of the detector used.

Besides, that's just the newspapers. Why aren't there topics right here on the forum, full of pictures of treasure recovered in the U.L.?
