Joe,s topo maps are based apoun the the symbolic trail on the trail map which means nothing. ( Its symbolic ) A journey, follow the map follow the heart. So with all do respect Joe,s topo maps are just a yarn. So why would you suggest anyone use them.

Wrmickel1

Mic:

Not to "anyone". And certainly not to the many, such as yourself, who have "found it".
Only to those who are looking for somewhere to begin their search.

Joe's topo will put them smack-dab in the middle of the area where most of the characters in the LDM/Stone Map saga hung out.
It will show them where to find the places where they "“ Veni, Vidi, Vici'd” .
Just as the paper place-mats once used to adorn the table tops of the Superstition Saloon in Tortilla Flats did for many years.
Maybe that's all the stones were meant to be....an interesting and artistic table decoration with the heart as a removable drink coaster.

Mitch Waite, a friend of and believer in Joe's map (also briefly a partner/member of Joe's expedition to the heart) has written a 4 part series of articles about Adolph Ruth:
The Adolph Ruth Map to Treasure in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona Solved? - Mesa Cryptozoology | Examiner.com

And about the Stone Maps:
http://www.examiner.com/article/the...e-peralta-stone-maps-where-did-they-come-from

As well as one regarding who made them.....The Lost Dutchman Gold Mine of Arizona, The Peralta Stone Maps--Who Created Them - Mesa Cryptozoology | Examiner.com.

Thanks for the info SH. The passion that drives each to their own conclusions is invaluable. Answers may differ... deduction of wrongs, lead to rights. Best of luck to all involved.

I'd never claimed to have found the dutchman's mine. Nor have I found wealth be'on my wildest dreams. But to solve how to read the Peralta maps, my name will be the last, forever connected to them. A grand testament to my being, My imortellity to live forever in history. ( or I'm tottaly wroung or wroung tottaly ) Where's BB when I need him.

Well Hello everyone, there no way that u can find the Peralta 1847 mine if u don't know where the Priest is, I am the Guide to the Peralta 1847 mine, I learned the stone maps in reverse and you must have a Reference point, which is the Priest rock formation. here's the order of the Peralta (5) stones: in reverse: from the Peralta 1847 mine to the Priest map #1, to Heart/Dagger map #2, to Trial map #3, the Cross is a symbol for a Window #4, and to Horse map #5. Good luck without me. lol,
for MoonGod (JMM)

MoonGod,

Que passiones? When Phil Reinhardt gets spotted doing the moon walk in the Superstitions, at least we'll know what he's up to.

Wrm,

I vote for........"wroung tottaly".

I always knew it was just a matter of time, before a genius would stumble on the story of the Stone Maps, and quickly solve it. Would you do us the favor of explaining what it all means?

Many thanks,

Joe Ribaudo

Hi Joe:

I can't really say quite yet, till its approved by the SMM. But I,m not the genius that tittle goes to my daughter. I was looking at the trail map one day and kids say funny things. She told me what the knife was pointing at. Then it took 4 years and 20 trips to az. Which one trip was 8 months and that was to find my heart Joe. A nice big steak tasted good after that, But not a az steak cause the beef is not so great there, But a ND local steak raised on sweetbrier grasses, (World class) I'll bring you a couple in feb. and you can be the judge. I'll meet you at the london bridge.

Are you saying, for the record, that the Superstition Mountain Museum is involved in your search and endorsing your solution to the stone maps ?
If so, that would be quite the feather in one's cap, and I for one will plan on visiting the museum next year to see the treasures first hand.
As well as attending any presentation which may be hosted by the museum with regards to your solution and discoveries.
Have you written your speech yet ?

"Hal Croves: Oh yes' I agree too that they had intimate knowledge of the mountains. But the legends and stories came after the stone maps where made. That the stone maps where found like T said.
I don't believe T wrote a book or sold a story. He kept the maps till his death because he believed they held a key to wealth. And if the Heart shaped rock pic is the end of the trail. Then how can one follow the map, follow the heart. So the heart should be first on the trail, I'd think.
" Wrmickel1

I guess it depends on which legends & stories you are writing about. I was responding to the quote by cactusjumper and I believe that he was writing about the period before 1949 (if indeed that was the year of discovery... I have read that it may have been as late as 1953). It is true that some of the stories (concerning the stones) were written after their introduction to the public in June of 1964 and those are obvious. Regarding Tumlinson... the fact that he did not sell the stones or publish his story means little. Remember that Travis's time ran short and the stones were sold in the end... although the man who purchased them makes a different claim.

Your last comment about the heart..... Yes, in this type of map making sometimes the start is actually the end and the end the start. But if you are following this logic then you would be compelled to consider the system of Treasure Symbols (which may not be a bad idea), however it sounds as if you have already had some success. Congratulations! Perhaps you will share your explaination of the formula written at the bottom of the trail stone. If you can, it would go quite a long way to substanciate your claim. Either way you are in good hands with the staff at the SMM.

G'morning SH. Unfortunately Mesa Cryptozoology | Examiner.com.'s version of the Jesuit activities and expulsion is incorrect, so one must have an open, yet critical mind set on the rest of it's findings.

Don Jose de La Mancha

Didn't say, Don Jose, that I agreed with any of it.
I often post links to other's opinions which I sometimes do not find plausible.
Gives folks like yourself a chance to see what others may believe in.
But thanks for pointing it out, anyway.
I'll keep it in mind......:stickynote:

Wow 31 pages of wading through complete absolute horseshit, I'm going to go clean the soles of my shoes.

Hooch,

Your first hint as to what kind of discussion this would be, is found in the very first post:

Dutchman & government conspiracy Request
I was recently told about a corporation called Holy Stones Incorporated operating in Arizona being involved in mining and treasure hunting operation. I was told this corporation has secret ties to the Trilateral Commission, the Vatican, and a Neo Nazi group in Germany. My informant claims to be a disgruntled member of the nine man group who form this corporation. He has supplied me with the four secret logos for the corporation, and a copy of a report that was generated for the corporation about Walter Gassler, the Lost Dutchman Mine, and a second Dutchman mine dubbed the Dutchman's La Barge Punisher, which I have never heard of. The informant tells me the corporation's official logos are two medallions poured from gold removed from the Punisher mine. My request is if there is anyone who is an expert on the Walter Gassler story who is willing to look at the report and render an openion. I do not want to publish the report here because I do not own the report. As I said it has been given to me by an informant. Can anyone help?

No, I'm saying a certain person with hugh ties to the SMM is funding me/flying me/books hotels, ect. All because my daughter told me what the knife was pointing at. Then a couple pictures convinced a certain person and Iv'e been in like flint ever since. Some of ya even looked at me and said hi to him at the dutchie thing, But I prefer to be in the back ground of things. So I did not say or talk much to anyone but my wife most of the time.

Mick:

Wow, twenty trips in four years, including an eight month search for a heart, with flights and hotel paid for by a mysterious benefactor.
Ya'all be famous when the papers get wind of it.....your daughter too.
And a lucky man to be able to get so much time off work.
I could only wish for such a co-operative employer.
Me, I'd have to be able to pay all my expenses myself, AND legally find and sell enough to cover my paycheck ....AND deal with our version of the IRS.
But this way I'm in control of everything I do, rather than having investors to answer to.
That's just the way I see it.

I must say though, that if I preferred to "be in the back ground of things ", I wouldn't be broadcasting my stories in this forum or on DUSA.
Nor should you, probably.
Unless your benefactor and of course, the SMM who you claim .... "I can't really say quite yet, till its approved by the SMM." ... must approve any further details of your solution to the stones, gives the go-ahead.
That's also the way I see it.

Regards:SH.

Wrm.,

Don't know how things are done in North Dakota, but out here if you make a bet and a condition of the bet is that you will prove it when and where you say.......you don't.......you pay.

I had a hundred dollar bill in my pocket at the Rendezvous, just in case you backed up your claim. I honor my bets.
I happen to have a very old pipe wrench. I won't make a bet with someone once they welch on a wager. I lose, I pay. You lose, you make excuses.

We're done.
