Hunting the parks in the hood is safe if you do it between the hr.s of 7 A.M and 2 P.M they're still sleeping. Firing a gun just wakes them all up. Be safe
I'm a serving member of the RCMP up here in Canada. I carry a firearm when I work, because it is one of my tools. Having said that, when I'm off duty I would never ever want to carry my firearm. It's a sad statement on society that you all feel so threatened by everyone around you that you only feel safe when you're armed. By all means carry bear spray for animals in the woods, and carry a hunting rifle, not an assault rifle, when you hunt. Bring your pistol to the range and have fun.
Americans kill each other in record numbers with guns, more then any other country in the history of the world.
Please reconsider carrying in public, pick your hunting spots more carefully and leave your weapons at home. Your kids and mine have to share this world when we are gone, let's set a good example.
Peace.

We could send all our criminals to Canada so we don't have to carry for our protection or if we see a fellow bystander or woman getting mugged or worse we can turn our heads and so oh well their is enough shooting going on I will let this one slide. Not once did I see anyone say on here that they where gonna pull a gun on someone approaching them and shoot they simple asked if we carry while hunting so don't always assume that we are gonna shoot someone sometimes they sight of a firearm is enough to scare someone away me I will always carry unless its posted by law. GOD BLESS AMERICA I STILL BELIEVE IN THIS GREAT COUNTRY AND GOB BLESS OUR TROOPS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, FIREFIGHTERS, EMT AND ALL WHO RUN INTO DANGER INSTEAD OF AWAY
I only hunt at the oceanfront. I don't think many firearms work well after taking a dunk in the brine but I'm no firearms expert. My July 5th hunt I was on the beach when the sun rose. I had a couple of drunk college kids from the night before walk up and give me the fifth degree (slurred version that is.) I laid my metal detector down at my feet and assumed a defensive stance with my solid aluminum "Monster Scoop." I never uttered a word....they finished cursing and moved on down the beach. Never thought I would have to deal with something like that while I was relaxing with my favorite hobby; however, stupid drunks can be found anywhere in this world.
Crispin
Crispin I have several ways to carry including under my arms, on my chest and behind my neck, it is easy to adapt a firearm to be able to carry in almost any legal situtation.......... Only way mine would get wet is if I went over chest deep or went under....

Glocks are all plastics or composite but a good cleaning after carrying in water should never give u issues
Luckiest dad has a point. When I became a police firearms instructor in '84, I also became a Wisconsin Hunter Safety instructor. I learned then that teenaged boys that took the hunter safety course were more apt to be victims of self-inflicted accidental firearms injuries than those teens that did NOT take the safety course! Go figure! I am 64. I have had just one accidental discharge with a firearm in my life.... no injuries. I'm doing good! TTCI'm not going to argue with people on here, the fact is you are more likely to shoot yourself, a loved one or an innocent person then any "bad" guy.
But hey, it's not like we all have to live together in a shrinking world.....
Peace out and God Bless.
Depends on who's boonies....and what the competition is packing! TTCRule #1 of going into the Boonies... bring an UZI.... or a .22
No they're not. The trigger housing / magazine well assembly are composite but the slide is steel and the barrel is steel.
If somebody wanted a salt-water environment firearm, there are stainless and even titanium revolvers. The only weak link is the ammo which can be waterproofed by putting nail polish around the primer seat and the neck.
