I’m trying to figure out how to talk to folks in my area. I just had to move from my private little treasure chest in Clearwater Beach and am in Columbus, Ga. now. How do I bug folks in my area to get started. I’ve never been involved with any type of chat room or anything else so I’m lost in getting started. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
I’m not sure if this is right but here I go!!! I’m going out to look for treasures at an estate sale so I’ll check back later. Thanks

Let me start off saying that your in a very good location for artifact hunting and there are a lot of collectors in the area. (Civil War relics, old bottles, trade items, arrowheads etc. can be found locally) There's also an annual Native American Relic show in Eufaula Alabama which isn't too far away. I don't recall this years date though. Good way to meet other collectors and a possible invite. As far as talking to property owners, most are easy going and if they see you're sincerely interested in history, you may get a new permission. Good luck.
