DO TREASURES HAVE REAL SPIRITS

Seeing friends off part of the deal for the still living. Dress like you weren,t on most visits cause their not either usually. But we go. Dad used to say he wanted one of his muzzle loaders with him and be in buckskins but I,m not sure if it's still on. Those memories will get a shiny tint in time. Sadness can smile, if we let it down the road.
.40 cal . Good compromise.Around 95 grain ball and an adequate Virginia strain whitetail medicine with benefit of a lighter rifle with out being short, maybe a 36 inch barrel but your friend would know his preference and why and teach lots..
Expecting your friend gets the liberty of a fine workshop with a darkroom attached. A mountain of stock blanks to choose from, cured birdseye, burled walnut and many others. near an infinite field of varied habitat.Just for brief indoor time projects, and visitors in time..
Good people should go to a good place. Some place where wagging tails and tales await.

Relevent, Friend:

Thank you for your very kind words, they mean
everything good, of hope, and true understanding...

My friend's services were very nice, just what you would expect,
or hope for. Still didn't seem like it, would have been a walk where
he trained his highly sought after bird dogs. Maybe some of the
favorite places he hunted, in the game rich grasslands, where
so much dramatic history had happened, before the white
man's western reign...

Service in a country towne, laid out in the country.
Many old friends and hands, I saw very nice dogs,
in back of pick-ups...

His Rustic Casket was Sawn Oak, not planed or
sanded, nicely walnut stained and finished, perfectly.
It was said that he had impacted lives, helped, inspired,
always there for family, ingenious, practiced the value of life...

His face had lastly before been seen, no open casket.
A nice earlier picture of him, and beautiful show dog, on point.
Friends and family, celebrated, remembering the many good days.

[EDIT]
A US VET, the trumpet sounded, all stood, some elders with hand on heart.
The Red, White, and Blue, full burial size flag, carefully folded, then ceremonially
presented to the Widow...

Good country meal, though somber, all aware of our lot, in this part of the plan... :cross:

Since in the area, looked at a friend's building new house project.
Will be nice, open beams, moderate size, 1500 sq. ft. 3 acres,
very nice private country view.

Not singling you or anyone, but I'm not cooking any more beans for a while.
The camp stew and cornbread will have to do, unless some people can keep
their stinking farting under control. Besides, I've been cooking beans from Colorado,
not exactly a flatland state, and I always soak them overnight, drain off water,
rinse and pour off, fill with fresh well water, bring to a boil for 15-20 min.,
pour boiling water off, rinse, etc. If I'm having high level company, repeat,
pouring water off, rinse again. Then I use Ozarka filtered spring water,
and proceed to cook, to cut down on the serious Danger, of getting
something caught afire, or blown up, maybe even an entire Cabin.

Some people like to have their flatlander cigars, and don't wait,
to light them on the balcony...

The only other thing then, that is truly from the flatlands,
is the spring water from Tejas.:laughing7:

Not trying to be rude, or negative in any way,
but I stand by my valid questions... Thanks for
your positive and constructive Input, none better
than you, in your area of expertise, I think...

I know we all need to laugh a lot, just sometimes timing,
could probably be more considerate... Gag, Get the Air Freshener! ...:cross:

TY!

There is more, about my friend's family history,
that he had once told me. I confirmed this, with
one of his sons, and the story was the same...

When he was very young, he had heard his uncles
talking, about his Great Grandmother's family, being
related to some people from another state. They had
supposedly left hurriedly, from their homes in 1882,
from Clay County, of the Great State of Missouri.

Apparently, they were closely related, to the immediate
family of Bob and Charlie Ford. After the supposed cold
blooded cowardly murder of Jesse James, they fled their
homes, and went to another state, forced to totally start
over, with whatever they could flee with,
practically overnight.

They changed the spelling, and also the pronunciation, of their
Last Name, and distanced themselves, from the potential horror
of retaliation, of Frank James, or his close kinfolk and friends.

...that Frank James, had eventually gunned
down Bob Ford, the killer of his brother Jesse...

If it was a well thought out plan, maybe the family,
even the Ford brothers, didn't know the real truth,
but only... :cross:

LOL! ONE way of getting $$$$$$$$$$$$ in the years after the Confederate War was creating INSURANCE COMPANIES! How many were "SECRET ORDER" at first... Ancient Order Knights of the MYSTIC Chain (with CASTLES); MUTUAL AID SOCIETIES... etc, etc. EASY way to make $$$$$$$$; use it or "bury"/hide it (Banks)... WESTWARD HO!

Some Injun DNA was contributed to me, an Iroquois. Don't know much about her but it was said to be a long, cold winter and that she was durn cute. (French Canadian branch )

Don Jose, Amigo:

That might explain some. I believe the Iroquois, were
a big part of the French-Indian war(s). Algonquin speaking,
were teamed up with a powerful, multiple Indian Nation alliance.
Was called The Iroquois Confederacy, with 10 nations, or so... :cross:

Howdy Rebel,

Sierra beans can be cooked to your liking, if you like them hot, and spicy, we could do that. What Don Jose is referring to is that sierra beans come from very high altitudes where there is less air, they are not packed with air like the flat landers.

Homar :laughing7:

coazon de oro, Good Friend:

Excellent point, glad you clarified, that could be extremely
helpful, in minimizing the hazards, of highly explosive fumes... :tongue3: :laughing7:

I will always be thankful for that, as a portion of the
nice country place, had already been sold off, and of that, I will
always, have a solemn thought ... :cross:

One thing that really intrigues me the most, about Jesse James,
is the fact, that he made reference to: "My Father In Heaven"...

This leads me to believe, that he had some kind of Faith.
His and Frank's father, was known to have been a Baptist minister,
I believe. So his reference to the spiritual, has my greatest of interests...

Well, I think FRANK James was a Spiritual person (and known to be a Freemason)... don't know about Jesse, tho. GREAT "pics"!

Jesse's reference was to say of, I think Allen Pinkerton.
"I hope my father in heaven delivers you into my hands."
He was undoubtedly, extremely upset, about the raid done
on the family farm, that caused family members much harm.

There was the fact, that he said he could have killed both of
them, on at least one occasion. That he had thought hard on it,
when the opportunity presented itself... :cross:

Howdy, suezgold14:

Do you have a story to share?
Thanks in advance, Crosse :cross:

One evening, after Grandma was gone, and we acquired the house,
we had been visiting with one of Mother's Aunt and Uncle's home,
and on the way traveling thru, we stopped. It was in the fall, and
though the weather was still mild, it was after dark...

When the dry winds blew North from Mexico, up across Texas,
and on into the southern plains. They lived in the thick, dark,
ancient mysterious woods. With a whole lot more hills,
and timber, valleys, and waters, on down there.
