I don't think treasures have spirits per se.
If I find a treasure/artifact that has historical significance or is connected to some known historical figure I feel that particular artifact has an aura around it, but not a spirit.
In regard to spirits, I once found a badly corroded urn of a man named Jack 1859-1889. The only part of the urn I was able to salvage was the top ornament - a little pewter cockatoo that I named Jack (after the dead man).
I took "Jack the Haunted Parrot" home and left the rest of the corroded urn where I found it.

Jack the Haunted Parrot is definitely one of the most haunted things I own, but to this day the scary looking parrot has never once brought evil or bad luck to me.
It's been nearly a year now and no 19th century evil spirit has yet haunted me. Every night the parrot's eyes look at me while I sleep and yet I have not been haunted or affected by it at all :D

Hello UnderMiner,

What I wonder, is why you took Jack's cockatoo parrot, lol,
and all I can say is, you should hunt somewhere once haunted,
like where I do my friend... Got None, No spirits??? Hmmm...

Thanks for your input, and story too...

Hmmn, maybe that was just some old cowboys,
from some days gone by that I may have heard
roping the wind... tho' wouldn't explain the
clues, and very strange noises, lol... :treasurechest:

I took the parrot becasue it looked cool and I figured it might be haunted. I wanted to see if a ghost would bother me after I took it home.
So far I think I've disproved the existence of ghosts. Or maybe Jack's ghost is just very friendly. :tongue3:

Howdy :cross:,

I have been trying to stay cool here at the Wild Horse Desert. One of my brothers came by the ranch two days ago, and after a while his conversation touched on spirits. On one of his stories he claimed that both he, and his wife smelled the perfume of a spirit. I told him about Don Jose's experience with a perfume fragrance, anyway, he said his wife got on him saying it was probably one of his girlfriends. He told me that can't be since they all wear cheap perfume.:laughing7:

Homar

UnderMiner..
Maybe the parrot's name was Jack and he persuaded you to bring him home with you?:laughing7:

Since Y'all are about these parts some,
in between keeping cool and such...

Help me pray for our good and feisty friend Judy,
who just got out of the hospital after days, for
having pneumonia... I too, have had that in the
summertime when I was in my 20's, it was no fun...

I was very concerned about her, the Cherokee Princess
just disappeared, and I thought maybe treasure spirits had
her somewhere, but she is still here, and I am Thankful...
Thank You Again, to the Great Spirits and Angels, of our Awesome Father...

Yes, She is quite beautiful in person, keenly smart, sweet and very feisty... Smile
Keeps her sword and shield, rope and honey always handy, for traitors, lol...
In the real world, it doesn't pay to cross her spirited, very mysterious and treasured soul...

Here's a song for y'all. Hope you're enjoyin' the day,
and can cool off maybe under a shade tree, or cool porch...
Mine faces the west, so I made it long... Still falcons and deer,
a Mexican grey wolf, wild turkeys, doves, and my roadrunner,
visit sometimes unexpectedly, like unseen spirits that come
and go, like the ever changing winds...

And, this one will work, too! Smile. God bless you.

Yes Thank You Again Kindly, and Always!

This one always works very nicely indeed...

A Strong and Mighty, Arch Angel of the LORD...

Sorry to hear about Judy's health trouble, but glad to hear that she is out of the hospital. I wouldn't be surprised if she broke out of there.:laughing7: She is one of my favorite forum members for her way of expressing herself, not to mention her vast knowledge that puts things to rest on any topic. Hope to someday put a face on the name, and do pray she continues to get better. Godspeed Judy!

Homar

She's a fighter.
And through yet another challenge again.
Ain't nothin for a big stepper.
Get well Judy!
No smokin corn silk for a while...:laughing7:
A little mullein maybe but only if the doc. says it won't interact with somethin else.

Homar. You must be having a good time over there! I have heard several tales/legends about the spirits that roam the land there, like The Headless Horseman. That is quite a story for the campfire!

Just leaving Georgia now. What a pretty place. Then, it's off to Mexico to see Don Jose' and mi familia. Smile.

Happy trails to all, and a super speedy recovery to our Cherokee Princess.
