old man jack is bored so he is halfnutty , todd needs punched in the face and throat chopped , dorsey is a whinney ass and should go fishing at 620.00 a day 3 times a week harness is a good guy get him fixxed and drug free he would own that place the other 2 i dont know about them more boss than floss and floss does a job and the old man that owns the place needs to stay in town and quit complaining about not making any money he made good money off of the lease unlesss he put money in the claim stay away but they owe him 15 k for the machine at the last stage of the process and i love todds ar-15 and least of all they should have never brought any kids and women folk at all waste of time fuel and money they all should be kicked in the balls

Just wanted to point out....How could Todd's sister possibly say "NO!" when Discovery was there with a camera in one hand and a check in the other? Just sayin'...

Even the claim owners part is scripted. Why would he kick out someone that leased the land? Is there a line of people willing to pay him and give him a cut of whatever they find?? AND he's probably getting paid by the Discovery Channel as well.

I think the only reason Mr Foster didn't kick them off the land because it may be in the lease agreement to let them mine for a the season and at the end, Mr Foster gets his %. So probably legally he couldn't kick them off if he wanted to, that is until the season ends.

Then who knows what will happen?

I don't think that they are really losing all there gold down the river as Todd has said on many occasions, if you look at there set up everything ends up in a holding pond where they pick up all the tailing's with the front end loader. Just need to rerun that material. Don't think I have seen a setup where the material runs back into the river. May not get away with that....

The thing I do not understand is why Jimmy D is so negative regarding Discovery Channel if he was negotiating to be part of the next gold rush or start something new one of the first life lessons you learn do not burn bridges

Im with you..... It's gonna be hard to get through the last three episodes to watch the conclusion. Hopefully next season (if there is one) will be something worth watching.

Couple things to add here and I havn't even seen the newest episode yet( about to watch it)

1. Jimmy Dorsey is either a total wus, or it was scripted. I mean these guys were supposed to be friends right? If your friend punches you, even in the face, it takes a real man to let it go, and let it heal with time... NOT run to the cops. I think the other guy only went to the cops too, because he knew Dorsey was, and got there first, but still, that is so... not mature..

BUT given Dorsey's wife, I would imagine he is MEGA WHIPPED.. THat little kid probably didn't even see much, and wouldn't remember it anyways.. she needs to let the men deal with men things. Bringing women was a huge mistake( unless they're butch and like to shovel dirt )

If these guys were not really friends, than YES I can understand why you would turn your enemy in to the cops for assulting you.. but, I mean.. DANG

2. THese guys NOT thinking of a simple cleanup sluice or other even better cleanup sluice for the cons is either total bliss ignorance( not the case, I mean the old man is an old timer) so yeah, them failing to show good cleanup methods is totally scripted, and if not, I MEAN DANG

3. THe failure of the wave table is clearly a scripted bash to the makers and producers of the wave table ( who knows why).. or either just pure stupidity.. and if so, DANG.

I'd like to see more gold and less drama, but I can just go to the creek for that

You know at first I was behind these guys....I really wanted them to get the gold and save their homes and have a great life..
But now that they all have turned into a bunch of jerks, I feel more sorry for the town folk of Haines Alaska for having to put up with them.

I love gold prospecting and mining, and I am all for anyone putting it all on the line to better their lives for themselves and their families. However, these guys are starting to make me hope they only find enough gold to get out of Alaska and just go back to where they came from.

They have ruined every single opportunity to make the viewer want to pull for them, and they have definitely been reaping what they sow.
Too bad their wives and children have been taken down with them. It's a real shame.

well goodyguy, that may seem so, but we don't get the whole story, and like, it's all a show. SO like everything you see, could be the opposite.
And as "they" say, gold is where you find it. As I was impressed with episode last week where they improved the wash plan.
They hardly show the real deal IMO, and if so, well they have guns.. Maybe they will sell those too.... we'll see.
I wonder how soon the youtube episode will be up since it's just airing now, I think. But I don't have a TV, so.. it's kind of nice actually.

Just watched the new episode. I would have kicked this crew off my property already. From digging the channel into the river, bringing wife and children, the fighting, Todd, his annoying father and their sheer stupidity and inability to get anything done.

Pops gets a wild hair and goes off digging holes all over the place. That site is dirty and unorganized. No thought given to where and why they dig. Fred has experience and has been successful. Todd is grumpy and distrustful. Todd should shave that ridiculous ball of hair off his chin. And if he would pick up a hammer he might lose the gut. Always standing and telling others how to do things. Hey Todd! STHU and get to work!

They wasted their money and time. I think the show is ridiculous at this point but it is like watching a train wreck. You just cannot help but watch it to see how bad it really will be.

A smart crew would have hauled buckets of gold out of that claim. Instead they had to have satellite phones and cute green John Deere Gators that they smacked with the tractor.

Dumb. Just dumb. I wasted another hour......... My fault.
