Discovery ch. Gold Rush Alaska

The shows main feature last night was how they are running out of production time this year. Yet when the show started, there were three of them out fishing, in the middle of a bright clear day. :icon_scratch:

Everybody loves a train wreck, I think it is scripted. :icon_scratch:

Not only that, but dumb people (aka viewers) love people that are dumber than they are.

Black sand is getting better along with the Gold. Next week I predict that they will hit bedrock and get good Gold right at the end of the show, if they don't there wont be any reason for you to come back and watch it next season.

Did my eyes deceive me ? they got a machine that separates out 98% of the black sand leaving only non magnetic finds to clean ?.....I'm sorry since the first pan they ever ran I been saying give me 2 of my detectors an my desert fox an I'd run circles around em .

I new I lakt you fer sum raeson.
You fit rat in witduh rest ovus. :headbang:

Has anyone else noticed how much black sand is in his ""keeper "" bottle with his gold ???

Well if I had the claim and saw he had a big hole dug and was past the $2 a bucket ore samples and my 20% for 2010 didn't amount to a hill-o-beans I'd be tempted to renegotiate his lease, if I leased it at all. Heck Jimmy D is probably rushing to get the book to print at this very moment.

I heard Dorsey was charging $2.00 for an autograph at the Roseberg Gold and treasure show in Oregon. That's getting pretty low...

It shows most of us think alike. It makes you wonder where their head is at. Nice day, Lets go fishing.

They said that they were out of money and fishing for food. Not likely, considering I think Tod has gotten fatter and food doesnt seem very "short" around there.

Does anyone else notice that every time you see cons being worked, there is really good color in it, but then at the end they only have a couple ounces? Scripted or not, I think ol Jack is skimming off the top.

I really liked the design of the magnetics seperator, but I laughed when the designer looked at all their buckets was like "uhhhh, that could take quite a while, this was made for sampling".

His little Magnetrometer is all fine and dandy there, but here where my blacksand only contains about %30 magnetite,it would do no good....no get the Hematite out too and I am impressed!I for the life of me dont see why they arent using a big spiral wheel like most large operations use.Heck I have an auto feeder on my little wheel and can do a five gallon bucket in just a couple hours.....theres could run 24/7 too :dontknow:

I do enjoy this show, even though it is yet another reality TV show. I'm an actor, and generally we tend to hate reality TV (as we'd like to see shows with real actors in them, hence giving us work), but I really am pulling for these guys. I hope they make it. I hope they find the motherlode and make it all worth their while.

I also love the scenery. I spent some time in the panhandle, not far from their location, and it is truly God's country.

I thought the magnetic separator was very intersting and it looked like it worked well, but to think that every bucket contains the same amount of gold is crazy.
