I believe there are only 3 more episodes left in the show this season.

With the modifications to the wash plant and running more productive dirt they are bound to have some gold by the last episode.
Hopefully enough to pay Todd's sister back. I doubt that part was real though.... Discovery Channel couldn't let them go bust before the last episode so they had to write her into the script to bail them out in my opinion. All just part of the show folks. I wouldn't doubt that next episodes shove of Dakota Fred was scripted as well.

Will they be picked up for another season?
Since they have the Number 1 show on Discovery Channel it would be highly likely.

Thinking back, I remember seeing a teaser where old man Jack was being shoved and it never aired

There is already a season 2 scheduled. Dorsey (sp?) will be running his own crew and they will be competing with another crew.

WHY? is it that these grown men can not get along, i can not believe they can not accept constructive advice, they have failed miserably, the claim owner sends someone out to guide them and from the get go there against it, and then they got the gall to put there hands on him in the next show, do these people even have a freakin brain, they could of very well have been sent home packin, but no they were givin a chance to get it together and now there screwin that up... lets not forget who owns the claim who already made there riches, i would love to have a good teacher around me but these dreamers are too freakin arrogant, they do not deserve a second season, i would rather see a whole new group out there i had enough of this whole crew, i was tired of todd and his father a long time ago, but have come to not like any of them now, except for the one who left, Dorsey, i wish him and only him and his family the best of luck.... would still love to see dorsey knock todds teeth thru his freakin lips....

Well it is called TV, entertainment, and scripting. You can bet most likely all the drama is scripted to make the show interesting enough for people to watch. Fact is the equipment and the ground they are on/are around is dangerous!

The show is at the point I don't even like watching it anymore because of the BS, but I too don't think the show will last much longer. I am sure when Mr Foster talked to them behind closed doors, I am sure it had to do something with getting rid of them and Todd and Jack probably convinced him to let them stay.

Either way, if it had been my claim, I would have been out there everyday. Jack has NO CONCEPT about using an excavator to dig, otherwise, he wouldn't of had holes dug all over the place and he wouldn't have just about sunk the excavator in the pit!

When I first saw the shows premier I figured is would be casted in a way to show a small group of people going out to search for gold, kind of like where to look, them running tests to maybe find where a vein could be located under ground, panning at the river/creek bank, etc. I didn't realize it was going to be set up on an ready made claim!

I didn't realize it was going to include violence, arguing, deceitfulness, and drama! But I guess that sells rather than airing some people at normal everyday work.

I think Dorsey will show up at one of the gold shows in Oregon and he will return with his own crew. It aint over yet. They will find just enough gold on the last show to bring you back for the next season, and I would bet that if the owner is showing up on the set and is involved in the show his pockets are being lined with the green stuff so why would he kick them off the property. There all making money but there not going let you the viewer know that.

That is a very good posibility. After all they can't let the cat out of the bag yet! I would bet though Dorsey is out there now with his own team. I guess no one will know until next year when and if it airs.

old man jack is bored so he is halfnutty , todd needs punched in the face and throat chopped , dorsey is a whinney ass and should go fishing at 620.00 a day 3 times a week harness is a good guy get him fixxed and drug free he would own that place the other 2 i dont know about them more boss than floss and floss does a job and the old man that owns the place needs to stay in town and quit complaining about not making any money he made good money off of the lease unlesss he put money in the claim stay away but they owe him 15 k for the machine at the last stage of the process and i love todds ar-15 and least of all they should have never brought any kids and women folk at all waste of time fuel and money they all should be kicked in the balls

Logic tells me he does not want them there, but for the sake of the show he sent his friend to overlook them until there gone.... and then there acting like goons with him..... i just do not get these people such ignorance and arrogance i can puke.... very easily...... the second season, i believe it will be better.... lets keep our fingers crossed..... i would love to see dreams realized, never been a jealous or envious person, i wish the second season crew alot of love.....
