Looks like they are releasing the new Elliptical and the old 9" in 15khz, 30khz or 55khz.... thats different than whats been reported so far.

I was just going to post that link. Thanks. Now the decision will be the elliptical or the 9" with higher frequency to complement my 11".

well my source was correct ! its happening.

They're not releasing them for "a few months" and have yet to announce the release date. They will be previewing them at the rally and exhibition. Here is the first sentence from the XP press release.

"We are proud to announce some new accessories and software for XP DEUS which will be available on the market in a few months. They will be demonstrated at the XP European Rally in the UK which takes place on 17-18th of September, and also at the Exhibition for Metal Detection which will take place in Paris on the 8_9th of October 2016."

It goes on to say

"A test phase will take place in October and November 2016, and then, we will be able to announce a launch date."

Hey, look on the bright side, technically it will be coming out this month....as a working demonstration , or proof of concept anyway.

I predict a spring 2017 release.

No worries man! A lot of us have been up and down this v4 release roller coaster for more than a year now. That's why many of us said we'll believe it when we see it. I mentioned all this in my first two posts on this thread, but it was bad marketing. During the bootcamp sessions, the have a skype meeting with XPs CEO and in the last year or more, information has been told in those meetings that gets posted in the "other forum". As I said before, I hope XP has learned from these marketing mistakes.... they should not be telling anyone anything until its ready to hit the shelves. If they under promise and over deliver, everyone will be happy.

Well I'm about as disappointed as a girl on a blind date with a guy with a one inch pecker over here.

But on the other hand, it's nice to finally see some updated information on the new coils and the pinpointer.

I am particularly impressed with the higher 55kHz frequency of the new coil. That brings it closer to the range of the 71kHz Gold Bug 2 I've been eyeballing. I'm afraid the new Deus is gonna be a beast on fine gold.

And that pinpointer... 90 hours on a single charge? Say goodbye to all your AA and 9v batteries. Fellas, I think our days of falsing pinpointers may very well be behind us after this.

So I guess it's safe to say that part of me is disgusted while part of me is excited as hell, after reading the new info.

Hang in there, guys. And try not to die before the update is released.

Believe they are still testing. Still testing = Nothing to ship but pics of what will be coming
