Update on switching coils on the fly with V4:
I reloaded the software and it seems to have sorted itself out. Now when I switch coils it will connect every time. It takes a short while between switching coils to connect. This time between coils does result in a "no coil" warning but it goes away once the coil is synchronized. It appears to be a normal part of switching coils on the fly.
