CRISPINS CRITTERS

"Around a campfire, and the night was new.
We cuddled close together and said 'I love you.'
Soon we were cuddled up so near;
Soon we were cuddled, up, so dear.....!"

Lyrics I'm workin' on...

How much for that axe?

I feel my love and repair skills could one day make it sing for me....

Best,

Scott

Good lord I am such a hillbilly! I'm sitting here laughing at myself, now granted I just woke up, but I believe it has more to do with how I think ( or what I think of). Scott I was totally appreciative of the way you feel about your "axe", as that is how I feel about one or two of mine- than it dawned on me you weren't meaning a tool that chops wood- LOL. What can I say, I really need to come off the mountain more- LOL!

LOL. Nice to see (ya) fowledup in here, fell in to the critter pile, did ya? :laughing7:
Couldn't be among better :notworthy: (the minute I open my mouth, everyone can hear the hillbilly, fall out, lol)
Scott I seen you found your way into the CM/politico area, too. Sorry I haven't officially welcomed you there. This forum is SO big, I can barely make it down here to the bottom of it. I'm glad you're there.

Just had a moment I could pop in, so "Hey to everybody" :hello:. Ya'll know if you need me, pm, if you ain't seen me around. I get the notices and respond. I is here, (wish I had 9 cats, instead of 9 lives, lol, lots to do.....)
I'm on the solo cat mission, again........ for now. :dontknow: Ya'll haz lotsa funz! 8-)

Hey DieselRam:
I need to look ahead to replace a set of Cooper AT3's on the F250.
The Coopers are soft enough for ice but are lousy off road.
Looking for lots of compromises between soft and hard for traction vs durability while staying away from highway howl on mudders.
The rear end seems to grind them Coopers when cornering too , balanced out by the plow wearing the fronts.
Any suggestions to consider?

It's funny you mention the coopers, as it's what I happen to have on my dodge. Only mine are the ATP version. I have had them on for I believe 3 winters and they are awesome! The grip in the ice and snow good and wear like iron, even with how heavy my truck is. I've had many, many sets of tires on it and I will definitely get these again when the time comes.
On my Wrangler I have the Bridgestones, they are good and quiet but I like the coopers better(I only run the jeep in the summer so I can't say about winter traction).
If it was me I'd get the same Coopers I have. As far as noise goes, not sure as the Cummins drowns out any other noise! Lol! Hence the new speakers I installed this morning! Lol!

Thanks D.R.! I've not seen the ATP's around here being worn on wheels.
My dealer was supposed to call when his Cooper rep was in last fall.
Must have been when I was out back of beyond hunting,if he called.
I have cracks in a sidewall(a hint of a vulcanization issue rather than weather checking), multiples in between treads and while those between treads are tolerable to a point , not the sidewalls.
Was looking into getting a pro-rated replacement set.
Yaa, a good stereo helps tame other noises.:occasion14:

I got both sets of tires and a set of wheels from www.discounttiredirect.com
Their prices are awesome, free shipping, no tax and often they send you prepaid reward Visa cards when you buy tires. Best place I've ever found to get tires!
Ya, cracks on sidewalks...no good. We just got a set of the cooper at3 on a f350 at work. Too new to tell how they'll do though.

I run them on my 3/4 ton Chevy, I love them, best all around tires I've had on it yet. I drive a ton, tow a fifth wheel and other heavy trailers, live on a gravel road and routinely 4 wheel into our claim which has some pretty sharp shale sections going in. I usually get about a year out of a set of tires, these are at 2 1/2 years and I think their gonna make it to fall when I plan on swapping them out for the exact same thing. They don't 4 wheel like a set of BFG's but for the wear gain factor I'll suffer. As for routine snow driving in and out of the house I've been happy as well. I will say I have not aired them down tho for a day of snow running, this truck is not set up for that.

I'm with you on the wear factor. I've had a couple sets of bfg all terrains and always felt the wear could be a lot better. Everything's a trade off. I'm on my phone (toilet paper tube) and it doesn't show your location. What state is your claim in?

The singer was in a New Zealand gang as a youth.
It may reflect throughout the song as to current (in the video's plot) incidents while having dodged an original pursuit and subsequent escape at the start. The poster at the gas station reminding them they are wanted... and the earlier traffic stop in which due to distraction the officer did not recognize them.
At the end a big city seems a destination option.

Brother Pele's in the back
Sweet Seena's in the front
Cruising down the freeway
In the hot, hot sun

Suddenly red blue lights
Flash us from behind
Loud voice
"all will please step out onto the line"

Pele breathes words of comfort
Seena just hides her eyes
Policeman taps his shades
Is that a Chevy 69?

How bizarre
How bizarre
How bizarre

Destination unknown
As we pull in for some gas
A freshly pasted poster
Reveals a smile from the pack

Elephants and acrobats,
Lions next monkey
Pele speaks righteous
Sister Seena says funky

How bizarre
How bizarre
How bizarre

Ooh baby, (ooh baby)
It's making me crazy, (it's making me crazy)
Everytime I look around (I look around)
Everytime I look around
Everytime I look around
Everytime I look around
It's in my face

Ringmaster steps up
Says the elephants left town
People jump and jive
And the clowns inch back around

T.V. news and cameras
There's choppers in the sky
Marines, police, reporters
Ask the where, for and why

Pele yells "we're outta here"
Seena says "right on"
Make your moves and starting grooves
Before they knew we're gone

Jump into the Chevy
Headed for big lights,
Want to know the rest
Hey, buy the rights,

How bizarre
How bizarre
How bizarre

Ooh baby, (ooh baby)
It's making me crazy, (it's making me crazy)
Everytime I look around (I look around)
Everytime I look around
Everytime I look around
Everytime I look around
It's in my face
It's in my face

Folks,

Pretty powerful version of this song.....the song was written and originally performed by Ben E. King.....I hate to admit it but this version is probably better.

Thank you all very kindly for the warm welcome it's very much appreciated. I guess not only do I need to come off the mountain more often, apparently I'm also a bit slow at figuring things out, heck it only took me what 3 1/2 or 4 years to find this thread- LOL!
