I thank you all for being my friends. Scott the words just came out I couldn't stop typing. I could write a book about how I feel..... Thank you guys, thank you for recognizing my friends too. Memorial Day is a hard day for me. But I am one proud man!!!!!!! Like I said I've been ready, but not to lose my friends. I believe it was Plato that said only the dead have seen the end of war. God Bless

You are correct, my Friend.

Few know who Plato was.

Fewer understand the philosophy involved.

Kudos! :notworthy:

We seem to be of the same Family, yes?

My Best,

Scott

Ron didn't drink, but when I'd go to his house to play the card game, "Pitch" with our wives, Pepsi Flowed!

God Bless Our Vets!

Now here you go...................

Today,
I made keys for a 1960 Cadillac door and trunk lock.
IMG_0215.webp
OK.
The only problem is whether we have the right key blanks....
A "B-10" and a "B-11."

There are two keys required back then: An early "Valet" system.
Door and ignition are the same.

Trunk and glove box are different.

Scotty digs into his "archives...."

I got B-10 blanks.
No B-11.

BUT....

RA-4 will substitute very nicely.

Now,

What's next?

How 'bout a code?

IMG_0216.webp
Yeah.
SWEET!

Magic numbers that translate to how to cut the key.

That's the door and ignition key, now,
How 'bout the trunk lock?

Code. Look for a code....

AHA!

And then,
Just like that,
My locksmith Friend just made $$$.

Best,

Scott

Oh,
I also made keys for some Kawasaki motorcycle.
1500 cc, I believe....
A "Big Bike."

I had to pick the gas cap lock,
break it completely down,
springs and all and "hand craft" a key,
that not only worked the gas cap, but also the ignition.

OK.

Done.

Maybe an hour?
Just "takin' my time."
Makin' it right.....

Dig?

What could tomorrow bring?

What the hell,

Here's the first "Doobies" album I ever owned and spun on my turntable.

(Much can be said for the value of a full album. yes?)

Hope all my Friends Enjoy!

Always,

Scott

"Holy Crap! Do I know you?"
(Name the movie and win 1,000,000 internet credits.)

I was wondering if that Doobies was an album
I had lost in a divorce or one that survived.....

I spend a minute or 5 looking through my music, et al......

And,
LOOK!

IMG_0219.webp

My original, pristine copy...

:notworthy:

Showing that even Scott, and his music and passions have survived!

And you too can live your passion.

Live a long forgotten dream.

I always wanted to be a cowboy and live on the range.
Maybe even a bounty hunter.

Nah.
Just the local guy who can "fix" anything.....
How 'bout you?

Scott you have a gift!

Joke of today- I always look for a woman with a tattoo. I see a woman with a tattoo and I'm always thinking okay, here's a gal who's capable of making a decision she'll regret in the future....... Think about it....... Think about it haha

Scott you always wanted to be a cowboy. I always wanted to join Jacques Coustea and circumnavigate diving the world. I watched his show every week. I was ecstatic when about 10 years old I think, for my birthday my parents signed me up for the Coustea Society

2GF,

Thanks for the chuckles.

His shows were one of the rare things I would sit still and watch.
