CRISPINS CRITTERS

I'm going to take my right foot and put it on that side of your face and there is nothing you can do about it". Want that a line from Billy Jack? Man I wanted to be like him...... Or like David Carridines character in the 70's Kung Fu remember that show? Thus began my interest in martial arts!

When I was just out of the Army,
I bought a house, on a GI loan.

2 Doors down was a 7th degree black belt in taekwondo, whom I trained with.

He had been featured on ESPN back then,
(Late 70's)
And was a ranked US Fighter....
Informally, with his training,
I achieved the level that when we sparred, we would end in a draw most times....

Best,

Scott

OK.

The final clue of the Rolling Stones Album mentioned earlier....

Think "3-D."

Remember the "3-D" rings that were prized from gumball macines for a mere thin dime?

Or the SPECIAL ring promised on a cereal box or in the back of the comic book?

After filling out the form and asking your Mom for a stamp.....

Waiting....
And waiting....

Dang Post Office is SO slow....

Best,

Scott

Do you remember these?

Why do all British musicians sing with American accents? Things that make you go hhmmmm

I like this one, it's a great example of British song.

But this one exemplifies my life in every way-

Bill, and the rest of the critters, I have been in contact with Stockpicker and he says hi. It's been a long week so I'm heading to bed goodnight all!

Sent from a empty soda can!

And,
Since we have no correct attempts to identify the Rolling Stones album,

Here is the answer--

"Their Satanic Majesties Request."

A song on Side Two, cut one....

Hope all are Well!

My Best Wishes,

Scott

guessing that was their attempt to imitate Sgt pepper cover?

Jeff,

Dude, you're on point!

The Beatles album you mentioned was released June 1, '67 and the
Stones album was released in December. On the 8th. 1967.

The Stones decided to "up the ante,"
I guess, with the "3-D" type cover.

Good job, Buddy! :notworthy:

1000 internet points for you! :laughing7:

Y'all want another "trivia" type music question?

Best,

Scott

At the risk of feeling ignorant, again,

May I inquire who is "Stock Picker?"

The name is familiar....:icon_scratch:

Forgive me; I'm old and hovering one foot over the line of senility....

Scott, if you look back at the beginning of the thread I'm sure you'll remember him. He was one of the first to join the original list.

And.....

Spring is close. :headbang:

50's here, while yet overcast skies....

We will all coast so smoothly into Spring very soon!

Always,

Scott

Oh, and the Braves won their first Spring Training game yesterday against the Mets.
I think it was a final score of 6-4.

Best,

Scott

PS.

Yeah, I like baseball.

I was a pitcher on a team Sponsored by a local donut shop when I was pretty young...
Say? 12-14?

NO ONE EVER hit a home run off me.
I had a screwy "left-handed" pitch that even I probably couldn't hit...
It was DCABA League.

Then, when I first went to college, in my mid-late 20's,
Some 30 years ago,
I tried out as a "walk on" for Kansas University Baseball.
Coach Bingham.....
I'm pretty sure that I've told that story once or twice before here somewhere....:icon_scratch:

I STILL have the glove that I shoveled snow all winter in the neighborhood,
to save up for an, "AUTOGRAPHED" Stan Musial LEFT-HANDED Glove!

Purchased, with hard earned cash, from my local "Montgomery Wards."
("Monkey Wards") :laughing7:

$12.95 plus 3% tax.
Late 60's or Early 70's

Prior to that, my uncle had given me a right-handed glove.
That meant that I had to catch with my left hand, quickly remove the glove and then throw with my left hand.

I learned quickly.
How to be quick....
