CRISPINS CRITTERS

G.I.B, lol! It's so cold up here I have gone numb in places I can't mention online!! Let's just say I think I'm permanently damaged! Lol!

So, certain body parts going numb, that explains where Eskimo babies come from.

A woman walks up to a pharmacist and asks "do you sell any large condoms?" He says "sure, they at the end of the counter would you like to buy a box?" She says " no, but would it be ok if I stand there for awhile and see who buys a box?" Hehe

DR we have alarms on doors and windows leading to the screened area of the pool. I believe that is the Florida State requirement. That's what we had to do to pass final inspection back in 07 I think is when we put the pool in

Scott, any great ideas for a way to monitor/ alarm system a screened in pool?

Sent from a empty soda can!

Dram,

Are you having trouble with people or animals?

With animals, the solution is simple.

With people, motion detector activation of video recording.

A few bright lights coming on would probably serve a great purpose,
when wired into the motion detectors.

You could go CCTV. They make some pretty decent resolution cameras now days.

I believe that you can also get apps to be able to monitor from anywhere on a smart phone, tablet, etc.

You wanna go cheap?

Get an outside motion detector light set up and save some $ on the video set up.

Most times it's kids and mostly they won't like bright lights coming on and harshing their fun....

But if you just want to have the security functions,

I recommend talking to your insurance carrier about their requirements for your location.

You might also want to check with your local code enforcement agent.

And, by the way,

When I said that the solution is simple with animals,
I hope nobody thought I meant killing them.

I meant to say,
Make it unpleasant for them to be there.

Good Luck, Brother!

Best Wishes,

Scott

a couple of moray eels would alarm most people

Hey, Bud!

Hope you have been well.

I saw Jeff get pushed into the wall yesterday on TV down the road from me in Atlanta.

Hope he can regroup!

Best,

Scott

Folks,

A tune for your enjoyment....

"Mongo like Strolling Bones. Music calms a savage Beast."

Here's the inside cover of a Stones "gate-fold" album released in 1967.

An early Stereo version.

But!

That's not what makes it rare, collectible and my favorite.....

Can you tell me the name of the album and what feature the album cover has?*

You know,
Like the Warhol "Sticky Fingers" album cover?

Here's the inside....

Only problem with CCTV is it's after the fact. We need immediate responses with so many children drownings in family pools. But DR might have "Thug Life" issues where cameras including cheap trail cameras are good

We need immediate responses with so many children drownings in family pools.

Back in my day when I had a pool and little germ factories lurking about we had something called, "Adult Supervision".

This generation wants to solve the problem with an app.

The market is already flooded with pool alarms, gates, cameras, motion detectors... and lawyers.

We have adult supervision my day too..... But to Pass final inspection by the code ingot cement jerks, every window and door leading to the pool had to have an audible alarm even with a certain decibel level installed to pass inspection...... That was when we had the pool installed and that was the way of it. Have you had a pool installed since 2007 like I did? We had to comply with the code Nazis like everyone else !!!

2GF,

I'm really not sure of his needs and reasons.

Perhaps he has no problems and would just like to be able to see what's going on when he's not there.

More details would elicit more options and ideas.
--------
Hope you and the "Boss" have renewed your commitment to each other by showing her who's the love of your life!

I'm sure it has been hard being away from each other for long stretches of time.
But, Dammitsomuch!

You kids are still strong together! :notworthy:

Old, rich people suck. Mostly.

Trust me....I'm old, but I'm poor. Therefore, I don't suck.

I can prove this through a "truth-table," one of the topics on the test tomorrow.
When I said that I got this, I meant it.
I had an Honors course of Logic 25 years ago and it' like riding a bicycle...

Anywhich, I digress....

---------

Y'all go somewhere special with the Grandkids and think of me just once and I'll be blessed!

My strength to you, Brother!

Best,

Scott

PS.

I'm pretty sure that CCTV is live.....perhaps you meant video recording.....

Nope, moved next door to some people with a pool instead.

Worked out a whole lot better.

Thanks AU24K yeah the old hag isn't home yet......GIB kind of like I don't own a sailboat, wish I could I'd live on it if I could. I'd prefer a 42 foot Catamsran..... As the story goes next best thing is have a friend who owns one! Haha

Yeah we don't really know what his needs are at this point.

You are correct, Guy In Back.

Whom would you rather trust:
A lawyer or a used car salesman?

Ummm...NEITHER!

So, let's eliminate the lawyers by doing the homework.
Check!

Now, about apps, computers, the interwebs and such....
As best as I understand it.....

I'm old. Surprise?

"Don't wanna have anything on the internet airwaves,
that you wouldn't want a judge, your Mom or God to see."

Feel me?

However, I've studied that dinosaurs, like me, cannot survive if we don't adapt to the times. And there, my Friend, "Lies the Rub...."

And the times?

"They're always a changin'...."

My Best,

Always,

Scott

PS.
I truly hope that I haven't pissed off any used car sales people.....:tongue3:

I know many used car sales folks.....
Fine Folks....

"The Times They Are A-Changin'"

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone

For the times they are a-changin'.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again

And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall

For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand

Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand

For the times they are a-changin'.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past

The order is
Rapidly fadin'
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.
