CRISPINS CRITTERS

Crispin,

Here's the response from Johanne verbatum......"No throbbing...a little sore if she happens to flex the joint(by mistake)...no antibiotics....when pressing on nail, flesh directly above nail (about 1/4" gets white. when releasing pressure capillary refill occurs within 1 or 2 seconds.

Am I going to get my thumb chopped off!!!

Do I have to go to emergency now...URGG............"

Regards + HH

Bill

I hope everything will turn out to be fine the the Wife's laceration. I would go down to the local bait shop and pick up a few dozen Leeches and have them at the ready just in case.

Chris,

Actually what I'm thinking of doing is putting Johanne on a plane to Florida to visit Crispin.....here's the deal....she does Crispin's bathroom reno and he gives her free medical treatment and I get a much needed respite....

Trust me Johanne is a force of nature.....be afraid....be very afraid....lol....

Sounds like a great idea, ever been to Florida? I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida a couple of years ago and had a blast. The wallet took a crap kicking but it was worth the 535 Loonies a night for the experience and a good time was had by all. I do have a nasty hang nail that really should be looked at and some air miles on the card to burn.... A nice cold beer and a toasted Cuban sandwich followed by some detecting on the beach should clear up that hang nail.

I finally detected on the small sand beach from where the pictures of Rockport Harbor were taken yesterday. All I got tonight was a pile of pull tabs and a microchip medallion from a dogs collar. Oh well I still had fun and my eight year old son had a blast on the beach and he met some new kids to play with there.

Dram, what's the water temp?
Jeff, yesterday the water temp was quite warm for the harbor. Today I made it in as far as my waist and it was just to cold even though the air temp was about 90* Not sure what the actual temp of the water is though I am guessing about 55*??

Chris,

Hollywood , and the Hard Rock is only 10 miles down Sterling road from My bro-in-laws house in Cooper City, ever down again in March, I certainly would spring for the cold one, and a Cuban!.....Gary

Bill,

Sounds good. Probably just a little redness. Which is to be expected. As long as the redness doesn't spread and things head in the right direction then everything is fine. Whenever somebody has a finger injury the biggest worry is infection. However, there are ample signs of that before it gets bad. Ie...worsening pain, throbbing, loss of circulation, redness, swelling, tenderness...

Let me know if she has any concerns. Otherwise, no worries.

Folks,

With the hot spell we're having thought this song would fit right in.

The Beach Boys - Sail on Sailor

Chris,

We vacationed in Florida 3 or 4 times and stayed at Naples with Johanne's aunt and uncle....we found some of the best pizza ever at a little hole in the wall restaurant called Michael's the owners were originally from NYC and another spot was a BBQ joint call MichaelBob's I seem to recall and it was great also.

hence the reason all my beach vacations are south. I prefer water about 95

Folks,

Another nautical type song for you....check out the 70's style threads....lol.

The Commodores - Sail On.

Just walked in the house, and find a comfortable north breeze blowing in the windows.....Temp. still 91, but wind helps. Sitting down finally with a cold iced tea, and watching the lake.....life is good. Left over macaroni salad for a quick bite, as I don't feel like being in the kitchen tonight, and the wife is once again paddling on the lake and won't be home for a while. Sticking to the nautical theme, Bill, how about Mr. Buffett's..."Son of a Son of a Sailor"........Gary
