Had to work at least 4 hours today, so I went in early.
Or was it later, after watching the sun come up on a new year?

Anyway, I took in my stencils for the new batteries.
I'll start that tomorrow.

I changed out the riser after adjusting the brakes on another jack.

I must be getting better at risers 'cause I shaved about a half hour off the total time.

This morning, before going to work, I created the new site on Facebook that I said I would.
Here's the Rules:

The Rules Are Simple.

I just now placed pineapple slices with toothpicks on the ham that was given out at work,
packed it with brown sugar and placed it in the oven. Yummy!

I already had my New Years meal of ham and beans, collard greens, rice and cornbread.

Seems like a great start to the new year!

Best,

Scott

Scott,
Looks like you've got most of the bases covered on the disallowed items. Odds are somebody or other will come up with a curve and offer something they shouldn't even if it's not covered on your list such as ivory or another prohibited item.

Glad to see you're eating some hearty food rather than ramen.

Regards + HH

Yesterday was my first wife's Birthday.
I called her to wish her a Happy Birthday and we had a pleasant chat.
She said that she is doing well and has bought a house and if I ever come back to Kansas for a visit, that I can stay with her.

I'm not sure how to take that....

I haven't seen her in nearly 40 years.....
I just said that I wouldn't want to put her out, that I had several Friends whom have offered to let me stay with them also.

Got that tattoo of 2 service ribbons on Saturday and a bit of touch-up on my Unit Crest.
My tattoo artist is really good.
Perhaps I'll be able to post photos soon.

My computer problems have not been fixed. Yet.....

Dang! The smell of that ham is starting to fill the house!

Looks like ole Scotty is gonna eat good tonight!

Tomorrow morning is Veterans Court and I can't wait to see my Friend again to share Christmas experiences with him.

Perhaps I'll get some quality sleep tonight for the early morning appointment before work....

You know,
I've always found the Holiday Season to be somewhat distressing, as I hang the calendar of 2001, that was my Mom's....

I hate cold weather, snow, ice and all that jazz...

But most of all, I hate missing my Friends and Family, whom have passed, and the only time spent now is in memory....

Sometimes, though, I am fortunate enough to make a phone call, send a message or write a letter included in a card to someone whom I love.

The Holidays are meant for sharing times of the past and the future.
I was able to share both Holiday Wishes AND Birthday wishes with one whom I still love...

Graciously, I led her to believe that she was doing better than I and that her happiness brought me joy.....
Yet, I could tell, after all the years, that she was sad....
I mentioned the good times that we once had, the laughter. The joy.
I mentioned little things that brought a chuckle and a laugh...
I told her that I still loved her and always would....
I think that we both cried as I said goodbye....

Can anyone think of a Holiday Season such as this to remember?

How does one continue?
Year after year?
How does one find the strength to go on?

My Friends, the answer is simple!
One finds strength to go on by helping others!

In doing so, one feels a need to continue to be there, to help and to show that there is always a need for compassion.
Certainly you feel good helping another.
An altruistic endeavor?
No! A journey in to one's self's soul to show that there is good in everyone!

Perhaps a "New Year's Resolution" to consider....

If only everyone could feel the way that I do when helping another....
"Do you feel like I do?"

Best, Always,

Scott

Saw Marsha at work today....

Dammit so much!
I'm "shy."

I WILL ask her next time that I see her about sharing a cup of coffee and conversation....

What can go wrong? :dontknow:

"Maybe she don't give a sh!t about you, Scott"

I wonder if she likes to go shooting? Camping? Metal Detecting?

Folks,

A video you might find interesting.

Well,no decapitation or jugular bleeding....Guess I won't be sending some one special on a vacation...

Seriously though ,pretty amazing they still trust humans. More so after having been left away from them on purpose.

Folks,

A video you might find interesting.

Bill,

I once recently had an opportunity to go to Emory, "Yerkes," to study the psychology and behavior of primates.

Yerkes -- Home

I found that I could not, in good conscience, attend due to various reasons that I cannot discuss,.
I declined acceptance.....
Let's just say that I love animals....

However, I firmly believe that man can learn much from animal behavior.
I have made several journeys, privately, near and far, to study, observe and understand ALL animal behavior, as it relates to human behavior.
What I have observed and learned could fill a tome of information....
My ken is all encompassing.

Best,

Scott

Perhaps I post too much....
I certainly have many other things to attend to......
And, I'm sorry that my posts are not of interest to anyone.

Perhaps my thoughts are not wanted anymore....
Perhaps I'll be less known if......
Perhaps I'll....
Just be gone....POOF!
A "Flash in the Pan."
My words slowly mean nothing....

Perhaps you may one day see my picture in your local Post Office.....An old picture....
You will then say, "I know him!"
Then again, you may feign knowledge of me....
Time will certainly tell, won't it?
Just don't let it show.....

Can anyone tell me what time it is?
Other than,

"It's late. A new day awaits.
Tomorrow is here!
Seize the moment, before it's too late!"

Do for others.
Give of your self.
Love one another.
And ask others to do the same.....
Tell me your story.
Tell me how you helped another.

Tell me how you saved a life.
Tell me how you helped another find housing.
Tell me how you helped feed the hungry.
Tell me how you have saved an animal.
Tell me what you have done to prove that your life has meaning.
Tell me your story, because everyone has a story to tell of being there for another....
You are a hero, and heroes today are hard to find.
Yeah, what time is it?
Time to help another!

Be Well, my Friends.

Scott

Ah, it is late.

Time to try for sleep....

Was called into Shannon's office yesterday before lunch.

Was awarded "Employee of the Month!"

Got a certificate and a $50 gift card.

Hope all are well.

Best,

Scott
