Oregon: Looks more like a claw, careful AU24K may want to stuff and cook it.

RC: I found a picture on the internet but it did not have the name for it.

Folks,

Not sure the singer's name on this one believe possibly from the Phillipines.

Against all odds.

Just received a reply to meet at the College.

Will meet this Friday at 10:00 AM.

Possibly a Spring Semester is in my future! :icon_study:

You can do it Scott.
Today is officially the 52nd anniversary of death and I am starting to think it may be the last. It was fun while it lasted, but I am almost ready to go. I can't decide if I want to give everything away or let them fight over it. I have given a lot away already, but there is just so much left. Maybe a yard sale, "BRING YOUR MONEY NO REASONABLE OFFER REFUSED" I think I will go back to sleep now.

Johnny,
Don't throw in the towel yet....after all you've been through life still owes you some good memories.

Regards + HH

Bill

~S~ All, I watched a couple of good movies today: "Article 99" & "Purple Hearts" They may be hard to find, but worth the hunt.

I’ve missed a lot on the thread lately. Not sure what’s going on but it doesn’t sound good. Hope everything is ok...

Sent from a spun out toilet paper tube (one ply)!!!

My plan is to equip everyone at my funeral with a stun gun and the last one "standing" gets it all!

Be Well Johnny!

Best,

Scott

Talked to the Boss, Shannon, today and asked if I could get off a couple of hours early next Monday for the Golden Corral tradition.
He said, "Sure. Just come in a couple of hours early."

I also discussed the possibility of returning to college and he said, "Don't worry about your class times. Remember that we still haven't decided what hours you will be working then. I'm sure that we will find hours that will work for you."

I LOVE my Job!

Also, word has reached the Supervisor of the Selectors that I can do remodeling.
He asked me tonight if I'd be interested in finishing a room in his basement to include drywall and a dropped ceiling.
I told him that I'd be glad to come look at the job and be able to work on it during the Holidays.

He said that he is in no hurry....

And, tomorrow at 8 AM, I will see John at Veterans Court.

Best Wishes Always,

Scott

ADDED:
The College is less than a mile from my job. Literally "walking distance," Dig?

Today, when I came in to work, I was stunned and saddened with the news from Tristan that his Girlfriend's Father had died over the weekend of a heart attack.
He was young; only in his 40's.

I made sure that I spent most of the night with Tristan while working, listening, and offering solace and advice.
He showed strength; Although I could see that he was close to breaking down more than once....

I told him that I'm always within reach for comfort,
and that he and his girlfriend are always able to seek my compassion, advice and support.
There is a psychological aspect to the situation, but I did not mention it as yet....

Tough times lately for my Friend....His Grandmother died less than 2 weeks ago.....
But, I am there for my Friend.
Sometimes, a hug from a Friend can provide strength....

I post the following, not because I am judgmental, but because I know and have been there....
I see what others may not see....

My Friend Tristan has been living in his car.

I won't say how that I know, but you must trust me that I know.

I will look into organizations that can help his situation.

I have several avenues to seek, having volunteered for many local organizations.

He has no idea that Scotty knows of his situation. But, like I said, I know....

He is not a Vet, but he is my Friend and I love him as a Brother and I will help him as best that I can....
He is young and headstrong, as I once was and may not accept help from just anyone, but,
Maybe I can help....

Doing what I can for my Friends,

Scott

OK.

No sleep tonight.
Yeah, been there, done that....

Just messaged my Sister, whom I haven't communicated with for about a year.
Took me some time to remember her personae, Facebook profile, and thus a message....

I sent this:

Penny, Life has been good to me lately. I am a forklift mechanic at a major food distributor and the pay is great! I am a Volunteer as a mentor for a fellow Vet in "Veterans Court." I have met several times with my District Congressman concerning Veterans issues and this Friday I have a meeting scheduled with a representitive from the College to apply for admission towards a Bachelor's Degree! I'm as nervous as a long tailed cat in a rocking chair factory! Hope you have been well! Your Brother, Scottngh

My Sister, nor any of my Family would have ever guessed that I was the academic sort.
Because they didn't pay attention to that what was evident....Dig?
Well, my Mom knew....

I am the only one in my Family to ever have a College Degree.
So, let's "up the ante" by getting a Bachelor's!

Best,

Scott

Perhaps I'll tune up my guitar....
Thank goodness It's not an electric and an amp on the other end of a cord....
